Mistakes 1.Forgetting to moisturise oily skin 2.Overexfoilation daily 3.Not moisturising after cleansing or after shower .Hot water ,showers can dehydrate your skin also 4.Not applying sunscreen indoors 5.Relying heavily on facial wipes or makeup wipes. Facial wipes should be reserved only if u forget to take cleanser with u while travelling

I am in my 60s and really wish I had someone like the Dr to advise me. I had ❤severe acne and was given antibiotics which caused side effects but I was afraid to stop them. The doctor advised using s sun lamp! Fortunately I didnt use it for long as it made my skin worse. I read books where doctors advised washing with baby soap. Soap made my skin feel tight but I thought i was drying up the oil. I have been left with scars and I often wonder if I had treated my skin more gently would I have as much scarring. I was prescribed Tretinoin when it first became available but no precise info on how to use it. I thought I was allergic to it but know now that I should have got my skin used to it and used a moisturiser.I now take good care of my skin and people cant believe how old I am so that is some consolation. People with acne today have so much support and information they can easily access. In the 70s we had very limited help and advice, if any.

Yes! I’m using sunscreen even indoors and re apply when I tend to go outside. Even when it’s raining I apply sunscreen in an ample amount.

I used to put on sunscreen every single time but it kept on drying and irritate my skin every single time. So what I do is put on a moisturizer that says uv protection so it moisturize and protects.

I have severe acne prone and oily skin, i always have doubt using sunscreen because i think it will block my pores but 3 years ago I’ve been consistently wearing sunscreen every day no matter i am in indoors or outdoors. Surprisingly, it helps to heal my problematic skin also i observe i look younger👀. Be consistent and you shall see the results! I am 23 year old and I’ve been suffering since 11 years old

I can relate to you. I had acne from the age of 14 to 26. Came back in my 30s when I was prescribed Roaccutane. Only thing that worked. It came back at the menopause so had to go on Roaccutane again. I realoy wish we had the Dr then with all his great advice.

Its okay! You can switch back to a more simpler routine. Hydrating cleanser💧, moisturiser💦 and sunscreen✨! Less is more sometimes, this will definitely help rebuild your skin! It will take some time to repair, but it will be very worth it. Wishing you all the best🌸

Also, thank you for explaining how to mitigate dehydration from hot water. That’s more useful than saying don’t use hot water. It’s hard to take a lukewarm shower.
