What would you suggest? Until now it really looks like directed energy weapons are not really feasible, unless a power source of power storage unit with a ridiculously high energy density is discovered. Such an invention, however, is guaranteed to change the dynamics of geopolitics and warfare to the point of making the whole discussion moot.

@@ZY1982 Well, for electromagnetic weapons, their ammunition reaches a speed of 3000 m/s while a powder weapon reaches 1,600 m/s. It wouldn't be crazy for electromagnetic guns in the future to be optimized to be hand weapons.
