SKYRC SR5 Maiden Run

First Run with my SKYRC SR5 Dirt Bike! And this is the first time for me to operate an 'RC' Dirt Bike.

This is the best SR5 video I have seen, and believe me, I have watched pretty much all of them on KZbin. I bought one today and it should be with me soon. I can't wait to get practicing. I will be taking a lot of inspiration from this video when I film mine. Lots of low down straight line shots, Slo-mo, and the occasional head loss, lol. Loved the video, really loved the ending mate : ))

So far, what I have learnt from this promotional video and the attached comments is this; 1: The head snapped off, indicating inferior materials 2: The tyres are of poor quality 3: They have fender issues They look like a lot of fun, but for that kind of money I'd want more than just a fun afternoon out of it before it broke. thats pretty accurate. aside from those things it is fun to drive. i had my eyes on a different brand but this one was the only one on the market at the time and there weren't many videos on it. I really wanted a dirtbike so i said screw it ill buy it and make a few videos on it. it is pretty big if you havent seen one in person, the tires are 6 1/2" tall.

Backyard RC Thanks man. Yea I'm running 3s. this bike is pretty sweet, I really like the aluminum chassis. The only thing I had to do was put some more tire glue on the tires, they had a little on them but I pulled the trigger and the back tire almost flew off lol.

wooderson76 I've seen it's common for the back fender to have issues. I'm thinking of putting drywall tape and shoe goo to reinforce it before running. What are your thoughts?

Yea that's not a bad idea, it has a metal bar under the rear fender that's a decent size ,but a hard catch on a root or something will bend it up... I eventually took it off cause it looks better without it, but the fender gets 'all' the hits now or should I say what's left of the fender lol. But you can get a new body on eBay as well as other parts. The sr5 and the older sr4 are the same chassis, the color, rider and electronics are the only difference if you're looking for spare parts. The esc isn't 100% waterproof, but it is splash proof... I found that out after a nice rip thru the water. R.I.P. ESC... I put a castle sidewinder 3s waterproof esc on it cause I like running my shit thru the water lol
