@@Purifycaly I keep on seeing this argument being brought up again and again without the right context. If you read the Thalmor dossier, you'll see that they list Ulfric as a (uncooperative) asset. Meaning that Ulfric is a merely a unknowing asset to the Thalmor in that he is the catalyst for the Civil War in Skyrim. If Ulfric were to die, then that would mean that the Civil War would come to an end. However, the Thalmor do not want that outcome to happen, since they want the Civil War to continue as long as possible so that the Empire will waste resources and troops trying to quell the rebellion, BUT, they also do not want the Stormcloaks to win either, since that would mean that Skyrim would become united again and will quickly rebuild their strength. Also, from what we know and seen from Ulfric in game, he despises the Thalmors guts for torturing him and making him think that any information he gave from under interrogation was vital to defeating the empire during the Great War (Which it really didn't, since the thalmor were already occupying the Imperial City at the time). But because of that, Ulfric was made to to think that he was the reason for the sacking of the Imperial City, which made him hold a huge grudge towards the Thalmor. Do you really think that Ulfric would actually be willing to join the group of people that tortured and broke him in the first place? Regardless of which side you're on, if you are going to bring up an argument, make sure to back it up with actual facts and not just speculation. In both cases, the thalmor would consider him one of their assets, but in one case, he would be working willingly for the thalmor, while in the other he would just be the "useful idiot".

TBH I'm not convinced you can really call yourself 'father' of a snow elf anymore than you can be the adoptive parent of your cat or dog. The Dwemer did such a number on them metaphysically that they don't even have souls anymore. They're basically just blind, vicious animals.

Still working out the kinks and problems with this even now, but what I do know is that it works similar to how you get the revival Dragonpriest mask in vanilla game. Basically, leading up to the whole mass extinction of the dwemmer and the exilation of the falmer, Cillian had shown himself in a village that was being ransacked and obliterated by either dwemmer soldiers or the 500, and had enough time to save a single snow elf child, whose mother and father had been killed off during the raid/war. This is near the end of his initial journey against Miraak, so he settles down afterwards to raise the child
