I know this is old, and pms00 may not see this, but I just wanted to say I am blown away by the quality content. There are so many "guides" out there posted by some clueless teenagers whose game knowledge is actually below that of the average player. And they get like a million likes and subs by just reading off whatever is written in UESP. Thank you, for going through the trouble of actually meticulously experimenting and sharing your findings. This channel and ESO are the only two I've seen that consistently provide me with information I hadn't known before. I wish every serious Skyrim player would watch your videos. Just wanted to let you know that there ARE people out there who appreciate real, concrete content. Subbed and liked.

Don't try to support a dumbass mate, you know InkWavve is right, why the fuck are you being a pendejo and trying to make sense of a question that has none? InkWavve clearly said that ESO and PMS00 are the only ones he' watched that"consistently provide me with information I hadn't known before" As in upload good content, not that those were the only channels he watched, and I can understand a basic language barrier that's fine there's nothing wrong with that but if the sheer stupidity of his/she's statement of disagreement that InkWavve is not right is not enough to convince you that this is not a misunderstanding but rather straight up stupidity, idk what will.

another useful trick: you can buffer a power attack right after a regular attack. hold a power attack right after a regular attack would allow the regular attack go through first, followed immediately by a power attack (for fast attack speed weapons like daggers to glass axes, this buffering can be done immediately. for slow attack speed weapon like deadra mace or two handed weapons, you need to buffer the power attack shortly after the regular attack..instead of immediately after)
@meph24738 жыл бұрын
well explained, thank you for showing the details of the system in such an efficient way. And because i cant recall you mention this: Since your dual wielding attack speed depends on your offhand you can enchant your mainhand with anything and use the shout anyway. The shout will land only on the offhand then but you do not need it on your main.. delicious damage.

@charlesw591910 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. The dual-wield style in Skyrim is way overpowered, especially with smithing improvements and enchantment bonuses from gear enhancements. You can break the game with this. I was dual-wielding un-enchanted dragonbone swords, and had to downgrade to dual-wielding steel swords to get a little challenge from the game, and it's not by much when you're spamming power attacks. The spinning simultaneous power attack with both swords is total overkill. Your character turns into a tornado of death swinging both swords and hitting the targets repeatedly; even dragons go down before they can deal any appreciable damage to you. I have yet to enchant a weapon. With the attack speed, damage output, and kill speed of the dual-wield style, weapon enchantment became totally unnecessary.

Damn I'm glad I watched this before I sunk anymore useless perks in. Only one useless used. And it was the least of the weapon specifics. I'm running an orc that duel wields war axes and maces depending...... occasionally I strap my shield on when I come up to a dungeon leader or get surrounded. My first character was a two handed swordsman and he just rips through everything even on higher difficulty with no potion buffs. I kind of like a stamina enchant on a weapon though because I'm not always gonna have the food though...... I usually just throw a regeneration stamina enchant on my chestplate and I'm good to go though. I'm looking for a challenge so I figure ill try to go for a straight up archer for.My 3rd character...... glad I started playing skyrim though...... kills time until fallout 4 comes out.

"Critical Charge" perk is useful for sneaking style; *It allows to do a sprinting sneak charge attack upon the enemy and continue sneaking easily. Perfect short distance sneak attack move. *Whole process counts as if you were sneaking and executing a regular swing but in reality you'll be sprinting instead of crouching. Eventually sneaking process will be much faster. *Can be used instead of sneak roll since it's faster. it's not that bad once you get used to it with a lot of sneak skill.
@MrSailing1013 жыл бұрын
I recently found out that under certian circumstances, a dual wield power attack can have more than three strikes. I believe it's a Dagger in the off hand and a Sword in the main hand, I specifically discovered this using Valdr's lucky daggar and a blades sword.

Critical Charge is awesome. Especially for 1h daggers users, it doesn't need to be a power attack, and it lets you recover sprinting. Ergo, you can start sprinting and keep attacking at an increases hit rate. The downsides are that if you do regular hits, they're not power attacks but it still uses stamina, and because you're sprinting, vegetable soup is not compatible. Because you're sprinting and going ever forward, it's fairly useless with enemies with small hitboxes, but is great against dragons, mamoths, or anything else you can "stick" yourself to. I love to use this with Elemental Fury(you go faster than normal sprint speed lol) and Mehrune's Razor(2% chance + hella attempts).

I never knew that teh off-hand was slower than the right-hand/main-hand. It makes sense that the devs would do this, as it reflects real life. This also explains why my combat with two weapons has not been great. I have been duel-wielding a mace in the off-hand and an axe in main hand, "because it looks cool". I would do better if i simply switched hands, or opted for a dagger/sword in the offhand. This is very helpful, thank you!!!

That is like saying, ice spells are ineffective against nords and frost atronachs, where all you have to do is change spells. Same thing applies here, you can have maces to ignore armour, but then unarmoured enemies have no effect, switching to an axe will cause them to bleed, but not against the undead. If you want everything, then like destruction, you need to invest into everything (fire/ice and shock vs swords/axes and maces).

I am finding that if you are good at noticing little ways to improve your efficiency, every build will make you so powerful the game might get boring. I first went with a sneaky archer. One shot everything from the shadows. Then I went with a shield and sword. Made me invincible but took a long time to kill, so I would have to stand around a while with no real threat. switched to duel welding to take them down before they had a chance to hurt me. Now everything is a one to three hit kill. Conjuring allowed me to build a small army. I was more of a general watching troops. I never made it past level 35ish before being uber powerful.
@Nathan-Roman9 жыл бұрын
I agree, im playing as a breton nightblade (on master) and I can either one shot anyone with a bow/dagger or use illusion spells to clear them, or destruction/conjuration. I found the best way was to up difficulty to master (if you havent already) or use a very intricate build, like the nightblade, no offense but sneaky archer/assassin builds seem very boring to me, as your only option is bows and daggers, nightblades use illusion and destruction also.
@Jesses0019 жыл бұрын
Nathan Shiels I can see how it could appear boring. It is more a chess game than an action game with that play style. Especially since Everything is dead before anything knew I was there. Master difficulty did not seem to help at all. I do so much damage with one shot that even the much higher health everything still dies with one shot. I do like 6 times damage plus I have a base damage of like 400, ha. Still though, the stories are so interesting it is still fun to play though. Maybe I will reset my perks sometime and try that out for a while.

@Jesses0019 жыл бұрын
Abdulaziz Al Saif Yes there is a cap on your armor value, but there is no cap on your damage value. You can smith an uber death weapon if you push your stats, perks, use high level potions and enchants. You can than further enhance damage with enchants and perks to the point where you are doing criticals all the time with 6x or so damage multipliers and a weapon that has a base damage higher than the health of most enemies by level 40. By the way, I thought there was a level cap below 100.

I know you're just establishing actual effectiveness, but I really like the paralyzing 2h attack in cases where you should play defensively and strafing backwards allows you to space your enemies while attacking, a 1 sec paralysis is still worth it for me since the animation takes longer than that and I don't like using easily spammed paralysis, since whacking away at motionless bodies isn't particularly exciting for me. It's a + for me that it requires a bit of a maneuver, if they don't move into range I still avoid their inferior reach as well, it's much more risky if they have the reach advantage but can still be great considering how I limit myself otherwise. I think all the 2h perks (Edit: Besides the weapon-type specs) are highly recommended if you want to try out some more challenging melee that still pays off, the part where the running crits start chaining uncontrollably can be annoying but very satisfying if you actually manage to circle a single target with it avoiding all their attacks, or zoom from target to target, having a lot more fun with the combat than I ever thought possible for me

I nab a pair of Scimitars from the Alik'r warriors in the Find the Red Woman quest. You don't need Winshear, Bloodsythe or Soulrender. One handed dual wielded scimitars are absolutely devastating. Smith them up and use Dual fury. Just be aware that if you enchant them, you won't be able to smith them further until you get Smithing up to Arcane smithing. Fortify One handed enchanted items are game breaking for One handed Dual wield players.

I just recently began doing a two handed build. I find it way to overpowered and I am one shoting everything. Granted I'm not very far. Does it get more difficult?

Press L1 on one weapon and R1 on another, if on xbox, Lt on one weapon, and Rt on the other, if on pc, attack button on one weapon and the block button on the other, be sure to do all of this in your inventory.

Thanks for this. I’ve been playing a dual wielding red guard in a heavily modded playthrough and I was looking to improve my sword fighting.
