For people who wanted to know about mince pies: Originally from England, they started to be commonplace around the 13th century after returning Crusaders brought back Middle Eastern recipes which included meats, fruits, and spices. Mince pies, or “shrid pies” as they were known as in Tudor England, are made from fruit, spices (cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg), and suet (which is hard animal fat). However most modern recipes use other ingredients instead of suet such as vegetable shortening. The pies ingredients are said to represent the gifts delivered to Jesus by the Biblical Magi according to the English antiquary John Timbs. Interestingly the modern mince pie is significantly smaller than it’s historical size as they used to be made into large oblong shapes supposedly representing the manger of Jesus. The mixture inside mince pies is often referred to as mincemeat as historically it contained beef or venison. I highly highly recommend you try mince pies around Yuletide (Christmas) as it’s an english delicacy. Fun fact, you can sleep in a bed in Dragonsreach after you become a thane. Go to the left side of the Jarl's throne, past the cooking spit, and down the stairs. On the right there's now an un-owned bed you can use and a chest.

You can't trap a dragon's soul in the conventional way but you are the ultimate soul trap yourself as Dragonborn because you absorb the soul into yourself when you kill the beast, thus unlocking words of power. Jeez, you'd think that Spiff would know that having played the game for twelve years! 🙂

Butter knife for stripping wallpaper actually makes sense with the flex. A cobbler's knife(straight, slightly flexible) would work well, too, and would be good for other light household and garden tasks, and they're less than a tenner. I stripped a lot of the wallpaper in my house with a tactical wedge with a nice straight edge. Wallpaper strippers aren't sharpened so you don't have the extra edge to cut a little. You do need to be careful but it speeds things up massively

1:53:24 Well, good for you that you found something nice. I'm still haunted to this day by the time we removed all the old paneling in the den, only to find scenes of madness, horror, obsession, and death. On the East wall, right on the drywall, someone had drawn a scene, in multiple colors of crayon, of a little girl saying "Yaay, school's on fire!" And lo and behold, it was; whomever committed this highly disturbing scene of stick figured Crayola carnage also drew a schoolhouse on fire, with multiple colors for the flames even. The little girl's words were done in green, and most disturbing of all is that many of the letters looked almost exactly as if my dad had written them. The paneling that we were removing came with the house when my parents bought it, so that technicolor nightmare was already on the bare drywall underneath the paneling. There was absolutely no way that my dad could've done any of this. On the North wall of the den, there are two big windows. On the Eastern windowsill, someone had written in pencil, again right on the drywall, all the numbers from 1-100, in a fairly organized grid. When I say "fairly organized", that grid started to fall apart as it got to 90-100, as if the closer it got to a triple digit, the more the madness took hold. There were a few others, but these are the ones that won't let me forget. The immediately previous owners were a nice gay couple who never bothered anybody. The den was an add-on to the original house, converted from a garage, and built before there was a unified California building code (ca. late 60s/early 70s). Wouldn't have mattered if there was, as the den would NOT have passed inspection regardless. Near as my parents can figure, the den saw 3 owners between the time it was built, to the time my parents bought the house, and that includes the gay couple. _None of those owners had any children!_

For enchanting, if you select the enchantment you want first (like archery) and then go back to equipment, it will show you what equipment can get that enchantment. (only at the start of the video so no clue if it is mentioned later)

I'm only a short way in, so this may have been addressed later in the stream, but this mod pack has a lot of custom followers who use their own follower systems, so you can have them alongside your one vanilla follower. There is one I've found who uses the vanilla slot and, when I asked said follower to come with me, my vanilla follower was dismissed without a prompt so be aware of that. But the others are all with me at the same time. In fact, I've found that it may be possible from a practical standpoint to have too many. They sometimes get confused and one or two may not come with you. Also, though I haven't specifically confirmed it, it could be that having too many followers affects game stability. I would sometimes crash when entering cells, such as when entering a city like Windhelm, and parking a couple followers seems to have improved this. Also note that this modpack contains a mod called Simple Follower Sandbox which does one very, er, simple thing: it gives all vanilla followers (Lydia, Anneke, etc.) Serana's sandboxing system so they will behave as Serana does when you're not doing anything. You've probably already noticed that Janessa and Lydia have been using enchantment tables, workbenches, and so on. As noted on the GtS collection's description page, a vanilla follower may get distracted and not always come with you right away.

Well, that mysterious cave of death sure came as advertised lol Edit 1: I imagine the Greybeard's reaction to the Dragonborn being a Khajit is probably something along the lines of "This Khajit is pretending to be Dragonborn? Let's humour them." *gets Fos'd* "Well sh*t they are! Akatosh sure has a sense of humour." Edit 2: The timing on the Ice Wraith killing you seems to me like Todd punishing you for talking smack about Morthal. Especially since that hold in vanilla has some of the best alchemy ingredients in abundance. I don't know about with this mod pack. My personal theory on why Morthal the city itself is such a nothing hole is both sides needed to start with a sh*thole town. The Stormcloaks have Winterhold and no I don't consider the College part of Winterhold. Also, it wasn't two hits. It was because you were standing on the icicles it created on the ground that drained your health bar when it attacked you. Edit 3: I hope you find the irony in you advocating for more racism in fantasy settings, then later getting a bounty for killing racists (who are also technically enemies of the Empire which is why you DON'T get a bounty for killing them in base Skyrim) in Hjaalmarch. Edit 4: That's definitely not a dagger. It also happens to me on normal difficulty randomly if it's a relatively powerful version. I remember just recently a Bandit with a shock enchanted weapon two hit me on NORMAL difficulty lol. Also blowing yourself up with the fire arrow didn't help I bet.

So, I'm on my third watchthrough of this in a week, and it still surprises me every time. My memory of the specific order of certain events clouds after injecting 40 hours of spiff skyrim into my veins, and each time I watch, my focus waxes and wanes at different points. Like, my first watchthrough, I missed the moment when spiff bought the staff of soul trapping. On my second, I was paying attention when he got it from Farengar. This time, I actually missed it again. And this time, I actually completely missed the first dragon fight. Spiff was talking about going to High Hrothgar next, and I'm like "bruh, have you even fought the first dragon yet?" And then he got attacked by a random dragon, which told me that yes, he in fact had.

Some mods change enchantment power based on how strong the soulgems are. If none is selected it would have the lowest multiplier.

This is true on vanilla Skyrim as well, from what I remember. Stronger souls give more power and charges to enchantments. Which is why I find using a Grand soul gem for a Soul trap weapon with maximum charges, over 1,000, so useful. I rarely have followers, so my weapons do the killing, so it doesn't need a lot of time. It applies the effect with the damage so killing it as you apply it works perfectly. Bows are very useful for this.

The mod of multiple rings is mint. Enchant two rings with increase carry weight ( two gold rings, must be the same ring) because you can't have the same enchant on multiple rings you're wearing it will glitch. Click in gold ring A click avoiding the inventory arrow or cw will reset if you bounce between the two avoiding the arrow you have infinite CW.🎉

in ustengrav to get the horn of jurgen, well to get it easier done is to run in a straight line, not zig zag like you did, and also don't have weapon equipped, you can even take off armour but that shouldn't be needed. With weapon drawn - you run much slower and also with armour on. As soon you pass the 3. pillar then hit the shout.

Spif, Love you, Claire and the pupps. I offer this, and you may already know it. If you have access to the console using the ~ key, there is a command that will not change or alter the game but rather forces your computer to reset memory both in Skyrim and Fallout. This will help stabilize the game if you find it hiccuping or shuddering simply hit the tilled key type in PCB and then let it finish then press the tilled again and this forces the memory to free up and should in most cases stop the imminent crash and allow you to continue to play it is not always effective because some time you get a crash with no warning but if you try it when the game is studdering it should clear it up. Love thoughts and prayers for you Claire and the pupps and congrats on your marriage.

For new players playing bethesda games (and fnv) - Using quicksave and/or autosave means corrupted save for skyrim and all bethesda games. Reload of the savegame should be done "exit game, start game, reload save" if you don't want strange bugs,missing things and also, corrupted saves. Cheers
