What about the word count? Should we also follow the suggestion Surfer give or as long as the content score is as high as possible will do?
@CorrieWhoBlogs
@CorrieWhoBlogs Жыл бұрын
Surfer provides some great guidelines but you don't have to follow all it's suggestions to the letter. (Same with the Yoast plugin) I usually try to reach Surfer's suggested word count but if I'm a little bit under I don't sweat it as long as the overall content score is in the green. Same thing if the article is longer than suggested.

Thank you! What's the difference between Surfer and Aherfs? Do they do the same things?
@CorrieWhoBlogs
@CorrieWhoBlogs Жыл бұрын
They're pretty different: Surfer SEO is more for on-page optimization while Ahrefs is an advanced keyword research tool. Surfer does have some keyword research functions but they are very limited by comparison. In other words, Ahrefs is better at finding keywords to target and Surfer is better for utilizing those keywords (and their related terms) in your content. I hope that helps!

But it's never too late to start, you just need to make sure you are following up-to-date strategies and not those from old-school peeps who launched their blog in 2007 lol. 😊

Hi there - at the time I made this video, Originality had not upgraded their software to spot GPT-4 content (at least, this appears to be the case based on what I had seen) Shortly after, they started catching AI content more effectively. This same article does get flagged as mostly AI. That said, I do edit my content for any robotic-sounding or redundant content, and for flow. Truthfully, I am not that concerned about whether the content passes AI detection or not because Google says AI content is not against the guidelines as long as it is used appropriately. (i.e. genuinely serving the reader and not engineered solely for ranking). I hope that helps!

Is there any diffrence between jasper content and ChatGpt content? Like quality and ranking wise ?
@CorrieWhoBlogs
@CorrieWhoBlogs Жыл бұрын
Right now, ChatGPT Pro is definitely producing superior content with GPT-4. (Although right now, you get a limited number of outputs). However, Jasper will be implementing GPT-4 soon. (CEO confirmed they are working on it). After that, we'll see. Both tools use the same technology, but Jasper customizes the software to be used specifically for marketing purposes. They're also wizards at creating templates that lessen the need for elaborate prompt engineering. For those reasons, I have preferred it to ChatGPT in the past - but it's hard to say how things will play out now that GPT-4 is here.

My hunch is that content with a clear human touch that demonstrates EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) will be what stands out in a sea of generic AI content. AI is to be used as an assistive tool, not to replace human content altogether - because people still need YOUR experience and expertise! The key will be learning how to incorporate AI tools while maintaining your authentic and unique voice.

Koala definitely looks interesting, but I need to investigate it further. We're going to be seeing all kinds of new AI tools coming onto the market this year! @@CorrieWhoBlogsMic placement won’t cause the audio to be in one channel only. It’s because you have recorded in mono, when you actually need stereo. So your audio has defaulted to the left channel only. I can’t tell you how to get your audio in stereo, it depends on what video/audio platform(s) you are using.

Hi Kenneth! Hmmm, that isn't normal - all your previous chat threads should be stored on the left side bar. The only thing I can think of is that the sidebar could be minimized - try looking for the "show sidebar" icon on the top left corner.

I have concerns about AI because I can’t realistically see how they can be used for listicle type articles or even product reviews? My website is about musical gear and I’m often doing product comparisons where I’m comparing say 8 products against each other. I have a pretty thorough general understanding of my niche but I’m also researching quite extensively to really dig deep into what makes one product better (or worse) than another. I find AI can’t do this as good as I can. The problem is, doing it manually takes ages and I really do need to incorporate AI somehow. AI works best for information posts like you have done - but soon, once it’s fully integrated into browsers, then info posts will suffer because questions will be answered directly in the browser. And there will be loads more generic blogs littering the internet because most will be AI generated. I’d be interested to learn how you think AI can help produce listicle style posts? In a kind of bizarre twist of fate, I believe that human generated blog posts will only increase in value because they’ll differentiate themselves from (a) run of the mill AI generated posts in the SERPS and (b) questions that browser chat boxes won’t be able to answer.
@CorrieWhoBlogs
@CorrieWhoBlogs Жыл бұрын
You bring up an excellent point, and I agree that the human touch is what's going to separate top-ranking content from everything else. When you say listicles, I assume you mean product review roundups? (eg. "10 best xyz for 123") Such reviews have been notoriously tricky to execute with AI in the past, but it's entirely possible to leverage GPT-4 to write such content. It does take more work in terms of prompting/seeding the AI up front. But I have been doing some early testing on GPT-4 with review content, and I am really excited about what it can do. Done right, you can use AI to write an in-depth review while maintaining authenticity and your actual opinions/experience with the things you're reviewing. I'm still working on fine-turning the prompts, but I'm hoping to get a video up about this in the next couple of weeks.

Cracy 2023 - AI controlled Google optimized content that has the aim to just rank :-) I´m curious about the future if that way of creating content that does replicate itself in other combinations will guide users to understand that the value of google or these types of contents does not encorporate any soul or purpose. But indeed from technical standpoint a good idea.

You do realize that if everyone is using AI for their posts, that you're ranking is competing against the same technology, right? So there is no winning if everyone else is doing it, too. Your only real advantage is against real humans that do genuine work. This is an unending game as AI will eventually rule everyone's life to the point that reality won't be real anymore.
