dude loved the video hello from el paso tx I just want you to know that I really liked the way you explained everything you see I'm really not sure about when I do mods to the fj I get all nervous 😢 and I feel like I'm going to brake something and just recently I had a bad experience I had some business installed like the headlights you have on your fj well the blinker part of it looks like what I had with something that looks like a broken halo but the looked great the lights lasted 6 months and I spent alot of money and from there just didn't know but seeing videos like your help I just want to thank you

Also the hand brake warning is my truck specifically, i had to disable it in the dash. UPDATE had to set to mode 2 then it worked.

Great video and install walkthrough. I am curious, what is going on with the pitch angle reading? Is that something that needs to be programmed or is the sensor bad? Shows you are 40 degrees or greater in the various screens. Thanks for the feedback.

Hello ! I would like to know how this dash handle the cold ? I'm in a zone area where it gets very cold and I don't know how good it would handle the cold , like freezing up or even the icons fading cause of the cold. I pretty sure it works great in hot climates.

Put mine in yesterday and your vid was invaluable! Couple of slight issues… 1. WTF is the female USB cable for? 2. My left an right steering wheel buttons do not control my Kenwood head unit like it did before the install. Other than that it was straight forward! You rock!

I just recently installed this dash, purchased directly from carobotors website. On every start up i have the brake light on the dash. Just curious what setting did you put for your ebrake. From the factory it came with mode 3 for the brake light.

Yup on the switch, one for front and back and wired so front can't turn on without rear first

Excellent video. I just have two gripes about this unit. 1. No spare tire tpms which makes it ridiculous when doing tire rotations. 2. The truck color isn't user selectable. When you lock your diff or turn on ATRAC, does that show on screen? Is the pitch and dive configurable? I noticed it shows the fj on screen pointing down.

Nope truck color not selectable, kinda lame but they will send you a file you simply plug in usb and it updates to different color automatically

One more question... when you replied about the MPG not being fully programmed whats the process or what do you have to do in order for the unit to reflect the correct miles left

So it is reading directly from the ECU so it's accurate, but it's default to having an external additional gas tank, so once you flip to the settings screen you can set it to one tank, you can reset pitch of fj, you can turn door open and seat belt warnings off and much more!

There are a whole bunch of settings you can adjust using the mode qi and the other keys on your steering wheel you don't have to turn off the seatbelt warning I just like it off And yes WhatsApp is the fastest and best way to contact them and they will send you the instructions on how to use the device in APDF format in WhatsApp

I had a professional install done by EC Offroad (their distributor) but without a detailed manual it is impossible to work out what "modes 1,2 3" are, how the TPMS works and numerous other issues like alarms going off that cannot be silenced (turning alrms to ison only ddoes not even stop the bell). Anyone else found a manual for the product as support does not respond (over 10 days two phone calls to the installer and 2 emails to the installer, and a video link and 2 emails to the manufacturer)? I tried posting in their support fourm but as soon as Ilisted things not working I was banned... So their tech support forum is really just a marketing front & does not allow issues to be raised. Very disappointing.
