Best boxer to take advice from about keeping weight down after fights is Bernard Hopkins. Even when in between fights and not in training he would still get up at 5am to go running. It all comes down to one thing, discipline. You either have it or you don't.

Dedication to get down to where he is now - 15stone 4lbs down to 11stone 7 lbs takes some dedication (esp when he got £millions in the bank, living in a mansion with a fridge & cupboards full of food!). Ricky was genuine world class fighter, kind of looked bad against Mayweather but it was a style thing (+ Floyd big into black magic occultism).

To be fair, he looked bad against Mayweather and Pac for a few reasons. He was past his best. The ref in the Mayweather fight didn't help him at all by splitting them up everytime they got close. But above all that, Ricky was a 140lb fighter, he had no business up at 147. But that was where Mayweather and Pac were. He'd already cleaned up at 140 and was nearing the end of his career. I love Ricky, and there's no shame at all in losing to 2 great fighters like that.
