I think Dubois quitting against Joyce when he had a broken eye socket is perfectly acceptable. Joyce was landing that jab all night and Dubois was in danger of permanent damage. Against Usyk, I am more critical. Dubois quit because he was spent and knew he couldn't win, but he forgot he was earning a fortune to entertain us and he should have pushed through.

Queensbury offered Whyte a fight prior to the Joyce fight. Miller wasn’t inactive he fought three times in the previous year and a half same as Dubois. No one even knew who Franklin was a year ago and Anderson was a novice prospect until recent. Fighting Charles Martin is no different to him fighting Trevor Bryan. Povetkin has been retired some time. Rivas has also retired.

I’m fully expecting high drama in this fight. I think if AJ is to win he will have to ko Dubois before Dubois can ko him. Neither Helenius, Franklin or Wallin or Ngannou went in there to KO Joshua. Daniel MEANS to ko joshua. No messing about. You watch from the first round Dubois will be putting it on him. This won't make the 2nd half of the fight. Dubois just get's hit too much. He's managed to wear other fighters down by soaking up the punches and then starting to dominate a tired boxer. AJ hits much harder and is much more skilled than Miller and Hrgovic. It's only ending one way. AJ will just blow him away.

Neither boxer are particularly mobile heavyweights but AJ probably will be slightly harder to hit. I feel Dubois has the better punch resistance but it's just whether he will have the chance to land cleanly. Dubois has a real chance if the fight goes beyond 8 rounds, the question is how much punishment will he have taken before that. I don't think we can say this is the new AJ based on who he fought in the last two fights. He may well believe it and will be confident but confidence alone isn't enough when the class of the opponent goes up a level. AJ will start favourite but it's not a nailed on win.

Expecting a cautious first round from both men, but if AJ tries it on and can't discourage Dubois I think the momentum shifts towards DDD as the fight goes on. I still think AJ has mental demons, and Dubois will look to maul AJ and really put it on him. Really is close to a 50/50 fight for me based on Dubois' recent form and self-belief.
