Chelsea choose to do the same with Gravenberch putting continuesely 4-5 closely around him. Why did they chose the focus on palmer instead of caiceido if he is the best midfielder in the pl, when Chelsea choose to focus on Gravenberch. There is more than only individual player quality with nowadays soccer, especially when tactics are used to nullify the influence of certain players.

How is Anderson one of the most improved? He was the reason Newcastle salvaged their season going from 11th to 7th in the final stretch when he came back from injury. Honestly some of the takes in this is embarrassing and not knowing what happened is ridiculous. We knew how good Elliott Anderson was and his appearances last season were curtailed by a stress fracture in his back. Lewis hall not being in the top ten is hilarious. The lad at left back has been absolutely incredible from last year and to get a call up for England he has gone from strength to strength.

Yes this season he’s even better but it just goes to show that if you are not winning games a lot of players will be deemed as not good. It’s most improved, not current best. They’re close in skill but Caicedo has always been quite good. He’s improved massively this year for sure, but he was bought for 110m for a reason. Gravy was an unknown riding the bench under Tuchel and barely played under Klopp, and in fact was criticized for his lack of pressing and defensive energy last season whenever he did appear.
