Jamie C doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The club wanted to make some clarity in the midfield with the selling of Conor. This happened and now look, much more fluid and clearer in direction. People criticised Chelsea for selling home grown players but they have made good examples of selling players at the right time, Mount, Tomori, Guehi, Abraham & others. Enzo brought some clarity, a sense of the higher ups and imposing that structure. Poch created confusion, changed too often and often goals came through individual efforts. You can see how Chelsea break teams down, score team goals.

Little or no progress as there still remain three positions that need to be addressed. GK and need for a domin!! ant CB and a proven No.9. Obsessed by youth and potential which is continually changing as others arise. They leak far too many goals mostly on a sudden counter attacks when they appear confused with the Inverted backs. Maresca likens the game to chess yet he has single immovable strategy and is no tactician. Having supported them since 1951/52 season the current management of players is more like a meat grinder. The injuries that they are now mounting appears to be a consequence of overtraining and muscle fatigue; physical interruption from stop start full on and relax is cyclic - that's fatigue and mounts up. Less science and more natural ability and stamina.

We were an embarrassment in the last few years, sacked an established manager for a guy who’d only ever won the championship, is he really that delusional for predicting that the struggles would continue? If Spurs and United hadn’t have had their worst seasons, and if City hadn’t have had their freak streak, we’d be comfortably 5th or 6th. That’s not that amazing is it. We’re behind Nottingham Forest, a struggling Arsenal, Newcastle, and competing with Aston Villa, Brighton, Bournemouth, and Fulham for the final UCL and top UEL places. Need a reality check
