The whole purpose of our podcast is for people to tell their aviation story. Trevor made a mistake and paid for it. I think it took some courage to sit down and say exactly what he did. Would you share your worst mistake like that? We invite anyone with a story to join us and share it with the aviation community. Remotely, or in person. We'd love to hear from you. - Don the Camera Guy

We're a small channel. We're not going to be the ones to put him back in the "spotlight." And, we weren't hoodwinked. Jacob didn't get anything out of us. We got to hear an interesting story and shared it with you. What you think of it is your prerogative, but that is the long and short of what happened here. Lastly, KZbin demonetized him. There is no incentive for him to get back in the spotlight as you put it.

@@freedomforever6718 This is all incorrect on so many levels that I will not get into it here. As far as destroying aircraft goes look on all the salvage sites like BAS in Colorado. Every day repairable aircraft are dismantled to maintain the existing flying fleet. Look on every small airport ramp across the USA and there are abandoned aircraft rotting into the asphalt. I personally have saved many and got them back in the air. Some even can fly but are uneconomical restorations and are restored for the love of it. This does not justify what Trevor Jacob did but this video was not about destroying an aircraft, it was about the person that did it and why.

He did a stunt that was really stupid, could have endagered property and lives of others. He's a thrill seeker, that's obvious from his past, and loves the spotlight. Aviation doesn't need anymore of Trevor Jacob in the spotlight. Again, hopefully you'll consider removing thie videos.

Nothing more than a stunt that was done for monetary reasons followed by lying and covering up what he did to hinder prosecution, like so many people do when they get caught (Guilty myself when getting caught stealing my dad’s car when I was 13 ). Unfortunately for him he allowed the whole world to see it. He’s an intelligent young man that had a very narrow focus in regard to what could have happened. I would be interested to hear his story if a wildland fire took place and a firefighter was killed or severely burned because of a stunt for money, likes, and notoriety. I listened and more importantly watched his body language during this video and I’ll bypass any further videos of Mr. Jacob. Looking forward to new content on aircraft and interviews by Mark and Skywagon University.

I agree with most of the comments I’ve seen here, this guy doesn’t deserve any more publicity for his actions. He states he had an idea and never thought about the repercussions yet he still did it. Not a normal thinker, who abandons an aircraft and doesn’t think about the lives they put in danger? But in the end I understand Skywagon is telling “the story” as had been stated and that’s what they need for their viewership and income but I simply choose to not watch the rest of this series.

The inability of some people to listen to an interview of a person that they find objectionable or even detestable is worrying. The same thing seems to be happening in politics, where basic respect for another’s views (even if you disagree with them) or to engage in a healthy debate on issues has been almost completely lost. I applaud Mark and Don for giving Trevor the interview and leaving it up to the viewer to draw their own conclusions on his character.

Our host is only able to interview perfect people, then he is going to run out of guest soon. He has great content in so many videos so if you feel he has errored in this video or series of videos because you so disdain the guys he interviewed.. don’t relate that to the guy doing the interview. Perhaps you can gain some knowledge of something of value out of the interview.. Like another guy previously commented We are free to be ourselves and we will never please everyone. But we can be tolerant enough to learn from others perspectives and even mistakes. I understand many people’s views on how this impacts the aviation community. But a thought here is that on blankolerios channel if you watch that, pretty much daily we hear of another skilled and seasoned pilot who made their final error..
