If you unscrew the 2” adapter from the 1.25” barrel you can crew that into your T ring M42

The 28mm eyepiece is pretty decent. Certainly worth the cost lol

There's nothing quite like a new scope.

I have the explorer 130m as my first scope.i was thinking of upgrading to the 200p with the eq5 mount.it retails at 650 pounds.in your opinion is it worth the extra 400 compared to the 130m?all the reviews I’ve seen say it’s excellent for the money!

The 200pds really needs an EQ6 size mount for really stable imaging. With an eq5 the 130pds is the best imaging scope I've found. The PDS versions are specifically designed for imaging, as they can achieve prime focus with a DSLR and have a dual speed focuser. I think the 130PDS version is one of the best scopes out there.

Also did you have to collimate it or was it already collimated?
@AndyofAstro2 жыл бұрын
Yes, collimating is essential when you get a new scope. I have also changed the collimation screws on the secondary mirror, therefore I have re collimated the whole scope.

Oh no! Before I could at least find happiness, in the fact, that I had a bigger telescope than you! 😅
