Does this tripod include an azimuth pin for e.g. the Celestron CG-4 or Orion Astroview mount? EQ3 class Synta head..

It is only available to fit the heads mentioned in the title. There may be some conversion / adapter kits available, but I am unsure

Hey there, I recently got a skywatcher skymax 90 as a gift but unsure what tripod to get for it. I’m new to this & wanting something simple for beginners - what is the best option that would fit the skymax 90? Are they universal or do you need an adapter or do I need a particular one for my telescope to fit? Thank you!

Depends on what you are using it for. If for terrestrial use and AZ or heavy duty photographic mount. For astronomy you can use equatorial mounts from Skywatcher EQ1 or above

I recently got one of these tripods and on my copy, the 3/8” thread does protrude a little way above the top of the tripod head. Also, if you add the “Sky-Watcher AZ Mount Extension Tube” it should be easier to add a camera tripod head.

@@Lionchuu 1cm is max protrusion. You could have it lower, but the clamping might not be as secure.
