As an Alaska Air Group employee, I can say boarding priorities rotate depending if the flight is mainline, Horizon, or SkyWest. SkyWest employees traveling on SkyWest aircraft get priority over air group leisure travelers. Alaska Air Group employees traveling for business purposes get priority on SkyWest aircraft. On mainline and Horizon flights, SkyWest employees are the lowest priority. It's the same priority as if a non-rev ticket was purchased through ID90. Jump seating can be a pretty handy option if a flight is full, as you have to be an FA to occupy the seat .

Awesome video, thanks! Our daughter is in training and isn't sure yet about the details for the benefits. Parents who live outside of the US (we're in London), I assume we get the same travel benefits? Can we travel as much as we want?

Question though, what is our priority compared to other non revs who work directly for Delta/United/American? Jump seat for skywest is simply flying on other airlines as a non revenue passenger. It’s called standby as well. Depending on what base you are assigned to it depends on what airlines you can non rev (stand by ) on. I was based in Chicago so I got Delta, United and American Airlines to non rev on because I worked all 3 Carriers in Chicago. Hope this helps.

@Iamnatashab3 жыл бұрын
I think LAX is pretty senior. While in training a guy told me he had been with the company for some years and finally got based at home in LAX but things change all the time so that doesn’t mean you won’t get based there sooner.

Is your fly status if listing with a mainline lower than people working for the mainlines. I'm just wondering if you can get on the flights or if it's really hard. Thank you! This is really helpful. It seems awesome to get to list on so many airlines.
@Iamnatashab3 жыл бұрын
I already work for mainline but when I was regional my priority was a lot lower on mainline flights. If their are a lot of people listed on the mainline flights you are least likely to get on. I’ve been bumped a few times but that comes with flying standby all together. You can definitely get on flights either way.

@Iamnatashab5 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming you’re asking about them being placed under parents? Step parents have to be on your birth certificate from what I understand. They make you send in proof, like a birth certificate or marriage license. There’s no particular slot for in laws so I believe they would fall understand regular people like friends.

No. There an enrollment time for each carrier. But for the most part it starts over at the beginning of the year. Delta you enroll again a year after you paid to activate your benefits.
