Every time I used to hear it, I would cry because my brother died when I was stationed in Korea, and when I came back to the US for his funeral, while hanging downtown with my cousins, no matter which "juke joint", we went in, all the jukeboxes were playing it!! I had just entered my tweens when, " Hollywood Swinging " launched me into the world of funk - bought six K & G albums back to back; the last one being, " Celebrate ". BT Express, Brass Construction ,, made the list of notable albums/songs. I have fond memories of 1974 - first girlfriend, end of junior high, first summer job. By '79, '80 with sampling/borrowing becoming the norm, originality went out the window. '70's music, forever in my heart.

So I'm working on something, and I started reminiscing on this jam. This so much reminds me of my afternoon lunch breaks while I was working for AMSCO back in the early 90's back in NY. It was a pleasant time. At lunch I would pump up John Robinson's mid-day mix 107.5 BLS, and they would always seem to play this. Chuck Leonard was the DJ during that hour. Like Yesterday... What a time!
