Have a Shure V-15 mk4 with JICO SAS on my 1600 . Love all the knobs on 1300

I bought one used for a cheap price that was flawed in that the speed selector only worked at 45 RPM...a plastic lever under the deck broke and was difficult to replace so I ended up cable tying the switch to play 33 RPM permanently. I don't play 45's much so it was no big deal. All other functions work perfectly. Thanks for the video.

That's cool that you were able to make it work and to get it at a cheap price. I have a box of 45's but rarely ever play any. Really need to be in a certain mood for them. Thanks for checking it out!

I have an Ortofan 2M Blue on my 1300 and I love it! I guess it kind of works because all the lights in my system are blue too. But I love the way it sounds and when it's time to replace I'm changing out the stylus.

Nice table! I have the SL-1301 that I just picked up used. It is similar, but does not have the speed controls or the platter speed “dimples”. It has a recessed speed gage. Does your table have the original feet? I want to replace mine.

Yes, it does have the original feet but probably not in as good a shape as they could be. They're pretty compressed looking. Mnpctech has some replacement feet I was looking at but haven't made a move yet.

Glad to hear you are still happy with it. Good choice of slipmat - I have the same! That needle looks dangerously close to resting on the surface though?

It does ride rather low but has been like that since i got it.

I can't believe it's been almost 4 years!? I remember when you got it! That's a good price for a workhorse of a turntable! I know alot of people like the Ortofon carts. I was considering that one, but instead went with the Nagaoka MP110 because I wanted a bit warmer of a sound. Personal preference, as anything.

I remember when you first got it and was ver jealous. So glad you kept it. I have a Mitsubishi lt22 linear from 83. I paid 350 back then a took 3 years to pay off. Youll like the linear one also. Do you still have the Aiwa amp. Thx.

I do still have the Aiwa and it's going to get hooked up to the linear table in the living room is my plan. The linear is compact enough to fit in my entertainment center with it so all should work out.

Any recommendations for a somewhat inexpensive, but nice enough turntable for somebody that wants to get into vinyl?

I really liked the Sony table I had before this one. It was a sony LX310BT and had Bluetooth,USB and was automatic. Only drawback was it did not have an adjustable counterweight. A little pricier but several of my friends have it, is one of the Audio Technica ATLP120 models. I believe it's a manual table but either would be a good choice I'd say if you want to stay under $300

I found that when i tried to research the one. Like I said, unless something else catches my eye, I've been considering that Ortofon red. We'll see what happens.
