Oh yeah it's usually about 103° right now at 5:00 p.m. We had a cold spell the last couple days so I have a great head start on doing all the fluids on the car I've done the motor oil engine flush PI performance improver and the rear differential gear lube. The car is running so much smoother and now after the filters it's got to be averaging 3 mi a gallon better is my guess. Next up will be the coolant and then the transmission fluid 😃😊😉

I have a air filter thats cleanable, and clean it out every 4 to 6 months to keep the air flowing into the motor better for much better gas mileage. Batttery reset was easy taking off the battery cable at the terminal. Car runs much better after cleaning my K and N air filter. Great video and was always buying air-filters. Now im running my car much better. Thanks for the great video inspiring taking care of my car for better gas mileage. At $4.00 plus a gallon, it adds up quickly. My car running much better.

I have a SL550 White arrow Had a check engine light come on did a B service put all new coals and plugs and the check engine light came back on and is telling me something in the diagnostics about the fourth cylinder it’s got a little skip to it I put some high test gas along with injection cleaner in the process of running the full tank of gas out and see if it helps it any do you have any suggestions or any ideas what this could be thanks in advance The car only has 56,000 miles on it.

But I have no idea until I get it checked which won't be until 2 weeks from now

Yeah I have looked into the throttle body on my vehicles and I've never found excessive dirt or anything like that So yeah I'm completely fine with a little bit extra particles going into the motor for more power. I had it on a bunch of vehicles that I have had in the past and I've always had excellent results and always saw an improvement in fuel mileage and performance and I like how I can clean it overnight let it dry and then oil it in the morning and I don't have to go to the auto parts store to get a new filter and keep buying new filters every 8,000 mi. It's super super dusty here in Las Vegas so that's why I enjoy it as well because it saves from going and buying these air filters all the time.

the k&n filter that was put on my Acura integra didn't even have the rear seal that the oem filter had, it didn't seal with the stock air box and pulled hot air right off the engine

Awesome yeah everything looked good but it did show a little high of silica I think you're right. Now that I remember it said that that could be gasket material however it's probably just a little bit of dust getting through. Definitely let me know when you look at it I would love to get your opinion

Everything's been great I clean it every 10,000 Miles because it's dusty in Las Vegas I've always used the K&N filters as far as the noise difference there will be no noise difference on a factory replacement filter what you're thinking of is the cold air intake in those will definitely make a sound difference and more horsepower the factory replacement filter will make a very small difference in Horsepower but a K&N air filter will make a significant difference if it's a cold air intake

That's a good question I've always done it on my older vehicles out of habit letting the computer reset for the oxygen sensor different things like that on this car it put a red light on that stayed on for about 100 miles and then the red battery light went away. Just depends on the vehicle I think different ones are different and different computers are different in certain vehicles it allows the computer to reset with oxygen sensors and different things with the computer with air flow

One of the biggest reliability complaints I’ve heard about Mercedes, BMW, and Audi is that they make copious use of plastic parts under the hood. Since plastic gets brittle over time when heated, it’s a question of when, not if, the plastic will crack. I think owners of those cars will be very interested to find out how much the Amsoil spray can help protect the plastic from cracking.

Yes you can use it in any vehicle It will save the fuel mileage also you'll get a little bump in performance and you won't have to buy filters anymore All you do is clean your old filter and reinstall it. On the average vehicle it'll save hundreds of dollars over the course of a couple years

Yes you would want to use a microfiber towel and you can wipe your plastics with it It's not a cleaner however it does protect all your plastics and rubbers

Yes this is my new cruiser 😉 It's definitely no Corvette however it does have some nice attributes that are quite a bit better than a Corvette so it's really a give-and-take. The Mercedes definitely will never be a track car. It does have extremely broad power band and it does have some very nice driving characteristics which will be improved heavily when we do the wheel and tire package coming up. We will be showing the importance of protecting the air shocks and wheel bearings with a special tire wheel combo

You know what I was thinking that but this car will have so much grip after I do the tire and wheel package there's really no point on the street The Mercedes will be right there with anything out there however on the track the Corvette would definitely be better. I'm not really into doing the racing so for the street the Mercedes is still a awesome car. It's going to be really fun to show the GPS 0 to 60 quarter mile time and how much grip it has. I think it's going to be pretty surprising 😃 Also the fuel mileage is going to get crazy good. As of now I think it's going to be a little over 30 miles a gallon highway. I still have to verify though that figure.

Yes and no The glass is half full and the glass is half empty and the glass is full full half water half air..... The Mercedes from a dig will murder basically any front engine Corvette out there after I put the wheel and tire package on. On the top end the car has a lot of drag so it will not be quite as fast. As far as cornering the Corvette is the best corner in car in the world with a 50/50 weight distribution. The Mercedes has a nicer ride on the street with the air ride suspension. Also the fuel mileage will be very close I think they're going to end up right around 31 mi a gallon highway. Which is hard to believe for a car that weighs 750 lb more 😊

On this vehicle they come in one box. Most vehicles have only one air filter like on the Lexus GS 350. On my old C5 Corvette they had a cold air intake with that filter together and it made about 20 horsepower to the wheels. He was a very special ram air setup. On the Mercedes they do not have a cold air intake option so I just went with the factory replacement air filters. This will save thousands of dollars in time and money by not having to buy OEM air filters and replace them all the time. Also it will save thousands of dollars in fuel over a couple hundred thousand miles of driving. I had my air filter on my Corvette for 4 years and 75,000 mi and the condition of the filter was still a night out of 10 That's how good the filters hold up. They will easily last 10 years a million miles. On the Mercedes I would estimate it's made about 15 more rear wheel horsepower after the filters. Keep in mind though the old filters did have bugs and debris in them. So the difference from OEM clean filter to the K&N filter may only be 7 to 10 horsepower to the wheels. As of now it feels like it's getting about 1 mi a gallon better average fuel savings.

Nanotech composite and graphene air filters are still not mainstream as of yet but I imagine they will be some point in the future. The only gripe I have with K&N is that they tend to need oiling; too much filter oil and it will reduce the airflow, not enough it will let more in but will let the air particles through.

K&N are overhyped, not worth dusting your engine out. Only aftermarket filters that I use wre dry, thecDonaldson are the king of those. If the MB uses a MAF, the oil will affect it.
