I appreciate that you are flying through a whole pandemic just to give us entertainment. If that’s not dedication then idk what is 😩

damn Skylite!, the rate of climb on that 737 8h4 was crazy. I bet you pulled 2 g's at least on initial climb out. I'm also assuming they retracted flaps 5 at less than 5'000 ft. If that's not already the norm. Plus that was sure one heck of a Southwest taxi. Pilots were like, Imma just whip up to the runway doing sixty, haa Lol.

Well, soon, the bad weather will arrive, snow, ice, clouads, and darkness. I hope your life is returning to somewhat normal. Love the flights.

Yes it will. It already has a bit. My flights yesterday were plagued with ice and snow. Long story short, they didn’t happen.

What do the spoilers do after they pop out of the wings?
@controllerboys52554 жыл бұрын
They help the plane slow down, plz sub to me.
@sla314 жыл бұрын
The spoilers disrupt the air moving over the wing. This does two things. It decreases the amount of life the win is generating, which means the friction brakes on the wheels are more effective. And second, they produce drag/wind resistance, which also helps slow the plane down. It's all about slowing down the airplane.

I don’t think so, I think they started the engine, but we just didn’t hear it. Plz sub to me.

Love the great videos. When you take short flights do you just turn around and fly back home? Do you spend the night in an airport hotel? Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and experiences! ✈❤🛩

Well, my travel habits have changed a lot over the last year. First, because of the ongoing pandemic, and second, because my wife and I became parents for the first time. So, a year ago it wasn't uncommon for me to spend 3-4 days at one time flying for the channel. That's usually when I'd fit the Hawaii stuff in. I'd fly from home (Joplin, Missouri) all over the place and be back 3-4 days later. On those trips I'd stay overnight in hotels, or I'd book red-eye flights. However, with the pandemic and a baby, that has changed. Most of what I've been doing since June (when I started to fly again after having our daughter in April) is single day trips. I'll fly out of Tulsa, and hit as many segments as I can in a single day. Then I drive back home that evening. As time goes on, I plan to start adding some overnights back in, so I can diversify the content a little more. There's only so times people want to see TUL-STL or TUL-DEN, etc haha. At the moment I'm planning one overnight trip in November and December.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was wondering how you got in so much flying. I'm a 70 year old lady who loves to fly, I love airports and I don't hate TSA. Before the plague started, I would take a short plane ride, spend the night and fly back home. Not so much anymore. Your videos are awesome. I do enjoy watching them so much when I can't get out there myself! 🛩❤✈💖

No I’ve never been to the Long Beach airport. I’ve been to Long Beach but never flown into there. And I’ve looked into a discord server. It’s more a matter of finding time to do it.

Yes. When the sun is low on the horizon and there is a lot of haze in the air, as was the case here, the sun will appear red.
