This is flight 30 of 33 from my recent trip where I flew around the world. At the end of September through the beginning of October, I set out to fly around the Earth, and after 16 days, 13 airlines, 33 flights, and over 38,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 13 different countries. Over the next 2 weeks I'll be posting these flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! The flights will be posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday until all 33 flights are live! So, check back three times every week to take this incredible journey with me! Wow! 9 minutes? That is one of the shortest flights I’ve ever seen!
@sla3115 сағат бұрын
Yup, about 6 minutes of air time to cover the 14 miles between the two airports .

There is no other sound, and I mean, absolutely no other sound that can compare to the school up and Full Throttle of a DHC 6 300. Listening to this at full blast with headphones on...HEAVEN!!!

Great drive! I just drove to New York City and I stay there until after New Year's Day so I can relax, eat, and shop there along with upcoming ball drop.

Love it. What audit and camera are you using here? Is there a way to omit the needless conversations in the background and just hear the engines? Thank you so much .... HNY
@sla3112 сағат бұрын
This was filmed with an iPhone 16 Pro using the standard audio settings. Unfortunately there really ins't an easy way to isolate the engines.

How do you edit and export all of this footage? Where do you store it?
@sla3112 сағат бұрын
I edit everything with Final Cut Pro, and thenI have a hard drive farm connected to my editing computer that has 200TB of storage. Yes that's 200TB, or 200,000GB.

We've seen some beautiful blue waters on your flights between the Hawaiian islands but never anything like the water on this video. What altitude do you think you flew on this trip?....maybe 3000 feet if that. Great video.
@sla316 сағат бұрын
This flight cruised at a whopping 1,000 feet. Probably the lowest I've ever cruised at on a flight haha.

The official shortest commercial flight is in uk but idk exactly which legs
@sla3116 сағат бұрын
I believe it’s in Scotland to be exact. I can’t remeber the exact route either, but this is up there on the list too 😁.

@@sla31The world’s shortest commercial flight ever is Loganair’s Service from Westray to Papa Westray in northern Scotland. It is operated by the same aircraft shown in this video. The DHC 6-300 twin otter.

I thought maybe it was a Shetlands island hopper…or maybe that flight from Honolulu to Lanai City…?
