Wow... a very BIG congratulations on your 10,000th short video!! Way to GO!! YEAH!!! I just finished watching a movie called Mayday at 40,000 feet (1976) where Lynda Day George was one of the flight attendants. In this movie, a US marshall is escorting a convicted double murderer to another prison. The US marshall has a serious heart condition and of course we know what happens next: the convict seizes the opportunity, fights with the US Marshall and several people get shot in the process and the plane's hydraulic system gets shot out as well. The pilots are able to subdue this guy, but now they have to get the plane on the ground. Lynda Day George was able to keep everyone together, keep everyone calm. Why they let a US marshall with a serious heart condition escort this guy on the plane was beyond me, especially when he nearly overpowered 2 other US marshalls earlier in the movie. Anyhow, great views coming in to LAX.

So have you had to suspend your trips to the hawaiian Islands due to the fires and for how long? Hope those you know over there are ok and will have a fast recovery and rebuilding.

No, I haven't had to re-arrange anything due to the fires on Maui. I actually didn't have any flights to Hawaii until the end of September anyway, and they're to Honolulu for an overnight connection.

Hey just a quick question, during night landings how do you record them and still retain a good view of things such as the runway? edit: i realize you record with your 14pro as well, are there any settings i should know of that can help retain good image quality at night?

I always make sure to get the camera focused on what I want it to focus on before we leave the ramp area where the lighting is better. I always focus my camera on the wingtip or winglet. Otherwise, I just film at the standard settings. 4k 60fps. I will say that it was much harder to get iPhones to perform in low light before the 14 Pro.
