I don't think you should be. Khorne has more ranged capabilities than slaanesh so they are both supposed to be deadly in melee. Also some of the strongest melee duelists in multiple settings are Slaaneshi warriors since their pursuit of perfection often encompasses their fighting ability. Sigvald, Lucius the eternal (watch the Warhammer plus episode with him), and now shalaxi helbane who was apparently made to hunt bloodthirsters.

Of course Slaanesh would lose since it's all about charging and manouevering. If you let two armies just wall of death on each other ofc the one with more staying power will win. Kinda no brainer. I don't know about others but steamrolling over Khornate factions with cavalry/chariots/fiends as NKari campaign feels amazing. Can't wait for the most 'exciting' match up, dawi vs nurgle. aka start a battle and go to a store, come back and they're barely at 50% hp of each other.

Slaanesh is not as overall powerful as the other Chaos Gods, but he is interesting as a being of temptation. Kinda like how they did Lust from Darksiders 3, meaning Lust isn't just about Sex, although that's still a big one. Slaanesh's primary point of being is Temptation, Overabundance of comfort, and lack of moral ethics in all things I guess, including tearing flesh from bone, learning forbidden arts and secrets, or even intentionally spreading disease and sicknesses upon ones enemies (since that is a military tactic) or giving into/instigating misery. But because he's so “New”, Slaanesh doesn't really have too many heavy offensive forces of his own except maybe his Daemon Princes or Champions and a few Soul Grinders. And his forces are more inclined to destroy others for the ecstasy of murder rather than be eviscerated themselves. Not to mention most of his forces seem to be made from either demons representing his Sinful nature or humans that were twisted by Slaanesh's powers. But he thirsts for Elf blood and souls and debauchery most of all. And I'm guessing most of them end up being his favorites unless they're people like that nameless old man - the Advisor, ones who's soul is a stand out among the others. Humans who show an extra degree of Lust for Knowledge and for his goal to be Freed from his curse and servitude to Tzeentch's tome. Unfortunately there aren't any others like him around the Old World (or New World and other unnamed lands like in the East with Ind, Araby, and Nippon beyond or around Cathay). In fact I'm surprised they don't have any stubborn chaos gods of their own to contend with, but I guess the Dragons from that region destroyed them all already. And if there was a Chaos God, I might see Slaanesh almost getting along with, it might be Bela'kor if he ever attains godhood (which from the story now, seems unlikely since just about all Campaigns are aimed at destroying him and stopping him at the Forge of Souls. Although in my opinion he pretty much nearly sucked Ursun dry of his Godly powers before being defeated, so it seems more to me like Bela'kor should probably still be a God, just more minor in scale, and pushed back into being more like vaporous shadow. Literally the 5th Dark God of Shadows, Deceit. Someone that seems to be a good “frenemy” to Slaanesh - lord of Temptation and Decadence).
