Actually its really very comfortable for your back (unless you are carrying a double bass like the bloke in the video). But now its really much much more comfortable for your back than a bicycle.

LOLgg321 The girls are hunched over a bit as they are riding downhill and this gives them better control, but normally you can stand up straight. Have a look at our other videos, on flat ground riders stand in a very relaxed natural posture.

Wow you have a very good eye for details :-). The top got bent when he collided with one of the girls and fell off his GW. (But we edited that part out). Anyway not to worry because we did't really have a double bass in the bag, so no musical instruments have been injured.

Looks like it could be fun. Same concept that I used to make a prototype pair of roller skis. If you put a pre loaded self centring steering system similar to the one I installed, it would make your Gauswheel much more stable. suburban skiing

officialgauswheel No more video, that was shot 15 years ago on a since gone vhs tape that was converted to digital around 2003. Hence the sub par quality. I may have a go at putting them back together to see if I get any interest now days. Cheers and good luck.

For one thing NON ONE is wearing safety gear. Being a user of a wheelchair for years now, and understanding how casters work.... DEATH WOBBLE that annoying situation when you are going to fast or braking that sends the caster into an uncontrolled side to side death wobble.... So what happens when someone on one of these hits a crack, or a difference in surface enough to force that caster to go one way while they think they are going another way? And, just because you lay the fork down to try to manage the death wobble issue, that is not enough to stop it. Also, in the video you see where users start to shimmy and if they are no hard on that brake, that shimmy will throw them off... I worked at a hospital and saw so many damaged faces and teeth from Heel Skates, and Scooters.... I see this as a nice supplier of injured people also... Especially if you advertise using NO SAFETY GEAR....

Good point, and actually we though of that. The brake lever is bolted onto a removable handle. If you reach down, and unlock the quick release mechanism you can lift out the complete handle from the frame. If you do this, the handle and the brake will be attached to the product via 110cm long flexible brake line.

It was a pain in the arse to fool with that brake cable, so I made my own extension from the brake lever itself. My video shows using it.

they really need to stop making these adds like music video's and get to the point. They also need to put an option for a bar to give it better balance. The brakes in the front is good but bending down to press it makes no sense when we mostly fall forward. Show us people that never rode it and how they became good at riding it. Gives us the price and how long before we have to charge it can it be use in the rain.

Looks cool, but you wouldn't be able to run it for long. Bended and fixed knees with humped back will leave your backside in bits, unlike other vehicles where you can either stand straight, or balance your body springing on your leg's muscles.

Actually on this video the girls are coming downhill, and they press their knees against the front knee pad as sometimes they are braking hard. But when you are riding on straight your back is in a completely natural posture. I ride both a bike and a GausWheel and the GausWheel is so much more comfortable for my back... Also these girls are professional skiers so this skiing posture comes natural for them. Really, check out some of our other videos where people ride on horizontal ground.

Riding on GausWheel uphill is the same as riding a skateboard or kick scooter uphill. Unless the incline is very steep it is not difficult at all.

Actually its really easy to steer it, so you will not hit a pothole unless you want to. And so far nobody tried that I know of so I'm not really sure what would happen. But considering that 90% of your weight is on the big wheel you can roll over pretty rough ground, the front wheel carries only a little wight and consequently it would not go very deep into the pothole, unless the hole was really long...

CARL WongTW the GW is designed in a way so you can kick it like a scooter. The frame is very narrow, and the knee pad is very comfortable, so when you stand on it with one foot and kick off with the other foot the frame presses against the inner side of your standing leg with a very gentle force. Thank you for your advice regarding the battery range this is very useful to us!!! Based on the info from the official website your Airwheel has a 130Wh battery pack. Our battery will have more than two times this capacity so our range should be at least two times longer. If anything else comes to your mind please let us know!!!

On flat ground it will go with about 20km/h comfortably. Downhill it can reach much higher speeds, and it has a hydraulic brake with a 203mm rotor so stopping will not be an issue for sure.

hanafi tanudjaya No actually slalom movement will not slow you down. And if you prefer you can go straight, the girls are only doing the slalom to show the maneuverability of the product. For slowing you can use the brake. If you ride on a flat road you can just reach down and pull the brake lever, but if you are riding downhill its best to take out the handle in which case you are holding the brake in your hand and you don't need to reach down. Its very comfy.
