Tony, I was skiing the Fox river in Ill. one morning, I had my right foot in my ski, and my left foot holding the rope handle. My hands were behind my head like I was relaxing in a chair. A guy was walking down his pier with a cup of coffee watching me ski with no hands, and walked of the end of the pier. I laughed so hard I wiped out! Great vid. Dave.

Oh man. That video made us freak out as young skiers. We used the barefoot bar recover roll for years. Never let go unless the ski fell off. Saved long walks at the cable parks. People were amazed when you stood back up.

Wow!!! not sure why it took me this long to find this video! I had that issue of Water Ski Magazine and tried ALL of those on my slalom ski! Oh how I wish it was 1989 again! lol

Aaaah WOW - reminds me of summers in Maine on the lake. In 1989 I was 16-17 then and water skiing a lot at my parent's cottage. GREAT GREAT TIMES! Thanks for posting this, it's an excellent video and nostalgic, too.!

(something had happened to your ski, travel wise I think) The Tulsa Water Ski Team was there to attend the event & we had a great time watching you ski, as we have continued to do over the years. I was 13 back then n loved the skiing Slalom, trick n kneeboarding was how we spent the summers in Scotland, oh n someone pitched up with a banzai board lol all good fun Tell me is that an HO Mach 1 you are on in this video cos that was best ski I ever skied on all be it in different colours

The video you watched is the opening montage to an instructional video that teaches how to do all these tricks. I think you are talking about the body slide. Search "Klarich + body slide" or "How to hot dog water ski" to find the individual tricks. I also have them all organized as a playlist.

Got my first ski nautique in 1979 we wore it out watch water ski equipment evolve just kept getting better and better Jobe , e p, O'Brien damn sure was fun times water-ski up until 2 years ago I'm 62 back surgery don't do that
