I always loved hardstyle music but more Heady's style since he's first tracks, but now hardstyle has changed too much. IMO old tracks have continuity with kicks and melody and were more funny to dance, while now all tracks are similarly made with no sense intro kicks and lesser harmony between melody and kicks. Yes, music must evolve but I think that raw kicks are evolving in a ridiculous way removing continuity and harmony of the track. Anyway, respect for the music and work of the artists.

even when heady is going a bit more rough, his kicks have been for years, SO CORRECT in sound. ah man i just cant ever say his sound isnt good. I actually, and don,t get me wrong, am happy that he steps back a bit from performing, so that he can finish all these songs hes been making. I hate radio silence from good producers so much. And ofcourse Vertile who i know to be a vocalist a few years back, is doing amazing work aswel.

In my opinion I’m not really liking where hardstyle has gone. Cheesy lyrics with random thumping kicks. No one has a set style anymore it’s just cover all bases. Proper mixing is nearly not a thing anymore. I still remember back in the day seeing Alex Kidd play predominantly hardstyle mixing and mashing the old with the new and it was actually insane. He had the club in the palm of his hands and I can’t say I’ve seen many dj’s match it.

Vertile’s a good producer however I feel like he’s being pushed way, way too hard by ‘the scene’ whether that’s Art of Creation or Q-Dance or whoever tugs the strings behind the scenes. Far too much exposure. The other artist this reminds me of is Sefa, who I love however he was very obviously hammered hard by the EDM industry.
