*Pro tips for using Grapple (hope you like reading):* When hitting any surface with your grappling hook, your character will rise up and travel towards the hook's position simultaneously until they're in a certain range of that hook (in relation to the X and Z axes of the 3D space of Slap Battles, and in simpleton words, your vertical height doesn't contribute to this range). At this point, your hook will retract back to the glove it was shot from and you'll begin to lose your momentum. By the time you lose all of that momentum, you'll be a small distance ahead of where your hook landed previously. Due to these facts, you'll gain more height from farther grapple shots as you'll have more time to rise before getting in the retraction range, shooting a grappling hook upwards (like onto a Slapple tree) may not give you the results you want, and you should always shoot your grappling hook at a position slightly closer to you than your desired destination. One more thing: it's much easier to grapple onto The Plate while it's heading away from the island you're standing on, credits to Nitro G for that one. 🤓☝️
