I am currently going through a long term OR permanent separation from family. After 36 years of dysfunction, outcasting and downright mental & emotional abuse & manipulation, I've had enough! The sad thing is I'm 36 NOW so they have been stupid from my beginning and I never had an advocate. I may be by myself and have to really struggle given I am chronically ill but I can do bad all by myself. I have been hurt past repair with them but I plan to look forward without them.

I appreciate this lady. I thank God for her wisdom. It's a shame that some of us had parents that let us raise ourselves, and when those individuals say something crazy and they get a negative response, they really don't understand what was wrong with what they said. And they get upset. And it's just a mess. That's why I keep to myself the majority of the time. Too many predators out here. I'm leary and halfway suspicious when someone I just met wants to hang out with me. Half of the people out here don't want to be your friend unless they can get something out of you. A loan. Rides to and from work everyday. A baby sitter. Chick's flirting with my man behind my back, foolishly thinking that he wouldn't tell me about it. One new coworker wanted to go clubbing with me. I found out later that she befriends women she's secretly jealous of. She wanted to see if she could attract more men than me. I was so hurt. She was such a phony. Always talking about God, but she ain't nothing but the Devil.
