Awesome! - Thank you so much for these hints on the technique. Those videos are very much needed. KZbin is full of Djembe tutorials, but sadly not many people are rocking the Kpanlogo. :D I am playing it for about a year now and your teaching has really helped me to improve my slap sounds. - Thank you for that, much appreciated. ;)

SLAP!!! Right in the pocket... I was finally able to get an "OPEN SLAP" the way you do in on the back part of the drum, NEAR YOUR POCKET!! And with the fingers closed... Yes many show you their slap with the ring and middle finger closed, but the index and pinky apart, BUT IT NEVER WORKS FOR ME!! So I thank you. Open fingers works for Nippy Noya, but he's a genius player... IMHO
