Dealer stays on hard 17 in blackjack. According to basic strategy, you're supposed to stay on hard 17 in every scenario, no matter what the dealer is showing. Since 17 isn't a very good hand, but you're supposed to stay anyways, us dealers tell players it's the mother in-law hand.. You want to hit it, but you can't.
