In my opinion, this was brutally brilliant. Just hear me out. Behti has never really 'cracked jokes'- she has always been honest and blunt, it's us who have laughed with her because the joke was on someone else: her mother who is in an unfulfilling marriage, her teacher who was forced to sleep her way into a job, her aunt who wants a modern slave-wife and now an orphan mother who has developed a Freudian complex which makes her want to inflict on Behti the same childhood she experienced. It's sad, it's mean- but aren't all these themes equally sad and equally mean? Then why do we consider one funny and the other not? Is it our inherent biases against our parents and towards the orphans which make this appear like a sadistic gimmick and not a twisted take on truth? Spare a thought.

Sumukhi, amazing concept which is wayy ahead of its time (It took me 14 episodes to understand the whole concept, this is something new for all of us!). 20 years down the line, future comedians are going to thank you for opening up such opportunities for them. I strive to do something similar in my field. The thing that differentiates you from the other so-called 'pioneers' is that they just say a few spiteful words just for some traction (not sure if they truly stand by it too), and here you have created a genuine piece of art. More power to you! Please keep bringing such amazing content! Also, as for all the hate comments, they don't mean it, they haven't understood the concept yet. Even I was a bit offended when I saw just 1 episode, but now that I have understood this, It makes soo much sense. This myth can be destroyed when people start accepting that mother's are human with their limitations. I love my mother even though I too have suffered a certain period of my life due to both of my parents, to what I call now mid life crisis. I accept them with their shortcomings and understanding them, as I would anyone else. As a grown up I encourage them to have a life of their own and not centered around their kids. When we accept them and respect them for who they are then our expectations will be put to rest and we will be happy and grateful for our existence.
