I find the slap and pick the hardest to get used to. A quick tip would be to think of your thumb pushing of your finger as you slap the guitar. Almost as a lever. This is not exactly what you do but it makes it easier to mentally grasp this move.

But I REALLY need a how to tap on guitar tutorials😭😭😭😭 Whenever I tried to tap it also sounds from the top part to my fingertips but it should sound the distance below my fingertips. if you're made a how to tap correctly and easily after considering my request,then you're the real god(according to guitar😁) Edit:- After I read the replies,I think electric guitars don't have that issue🙂But,I'm a F ing *ACOUSTIC GUITARIST* ☹

@pcb8059
@pcb8059 4 жыл бұрын
maybe youre not pulling off a tap correctly. I alway pulloff a tap with a slight bend pressure so my finger "snaps" off the string instead of just lifting strait up off a fret.
@user-ic7cj8lq9z
@user-ic7cj8lq9z 4 жыл бұрын
I think it's normal but on electric guitar you won't here the string from the nut to the finger through the speaker because the pickup doesn't pick that up.
@pcb8059
@pcb8059 4 жыл бұрын
@@user-ic7cj8lq9z I dont know if I am interpreting correctly? that youre saying you're not getting a good tone from the "open string" while "pulling off " a tap? this is the reason why youd pulloff a tap with a slight horizontal pressure, so your pull-off to an "open string" is essentially a picking motion at the same time time. If you want to pulloff a tap strait up,like 80's shredders, youd need to have higher gain. Or maybe you have dead old strings, or need to raise the pickups if youre playing with minimal gain. Also Compression can help with tapping if your pulloffs are too quiet. But there are more advantages to pulling off a tap with a string tension "snap" off the finger.

I often attempt to write songs in the style of an artist I admire to see what I've learned from them and how much more I can learn from them. These conceptual videos are always useful on this front.
