@akapono yes there is. the 4wd will get through tougher terrain. and the 2wd is for just bashing. if u took the 2wd and the 4wd and put them together and raced in the dirt the 4wd will win bc it has better traction on all surfaces.

Theres a new model on the way. The traxxas Slash 4X4 Size 1/10. They should be in the shops by the end of december and retail at arround $400 USD. Thats deffinetly the best buy i my opinion. If the new one is too expensive... I personally think the 1/16 Slash is too small. I would go for the 1/10 model, and buy a VXL system for it later on. Regards
