This is the best song on the album. However, I wish the guitar in the chorus was mixed with less volume. With THAT chorus, you absolutely just let Myles angelic voice shine. The guitar has plenty of other chances in this song to take lead. Myles DEFINITELY wrote this song. You can tell pretty easily. This is exactly his type of song... sorta like a Bent to Fly or Not For Me. He writes really amazing guitar riffs that lead an amazing, melodically driven chorus. Such a talented musician. Slash is obviously a legend and takes center stage in the band, but it should never be lost how talented Myles Kennedy is. He doesn't even play guitar in this band... despite the fact that SLASH HIMSELF said Myles was the better guitarist of the two. Imagine how diverse it'd be if Myles had a guitar?

I've been trying to figure out what's been "bugging" me about this track, & I feel that you've hit the nail on the head. The guitar during the chorus is just a bit too "loud" and "grating". It needs to be lower & a touch "softer".

There’s an interview from 2014 where Slash says that Myles is technically more proficient at guitar than him. In terms of theory, versatility and skill. It may not be that way now but if you wanna chuck: ‘Myles Kennedy (of Alter Bridge) in a guitar contest’ on KZbin and skip to the 2:39 mark, you’ll be blown away.
