Alter Bridge isn't Creed. Two different Band. The Alter Bridge's 3 member was in the Creed before but that's it. Nothing else. They did an other band with Myles cause they hated work with Scott Stapp. But the two band is two different band.

I like this as much as the original version. simply because slash is my all time idol. fair enough Axl isnt singing but you have to give Myles credit he is an awesome singer, and to sing most of gnr's songs as well as velvet revolver must be insanely difficult. I saw slash on his solo tour last year, and if you havent seen guns n roses live just like me, his band is the closest you will get to seeing guns n roses.

@CuriosityRoads People always rip on this, thinking they had months to do this, they were rushed to record these for iTunes, BBC radio used to do the same thing, ask the artists to re-record some songs, and they're rused, so they don't get good quality, but I like it because it sounds more stripped down.

in my opinion axl WAS one of the best..times have changed and axl cant cut it anymore..i saw "guns n roses" (if you can call them that) in 2010 and i have to say..only a few songs from their set sounded good..axl was trying too hard and trying to force his vocals out. now myles.. he can sing any style. he is a miraculous frontman and when i saw them(slash in june) and AB in november every song sounded perfect..myles didnt try to recreate what the track sounds like- but gave it something more

I think Axl and Myles are both amazing singers.. Just imagine Axl singing an Alter bridge song, or any Myles' song, it wouldn't sound right, but that doesn't mean that he sucks.

Axl can do drums.. when he first met Izzy, that was Hollywood rose, he auditioned as a drummer but Izzy knew Axl can sing. Axl was too shy then but when he tried, and heard the outcome was good, he bacame the vocalist. AXL is not the best, he is one of the best.

He may not be Axl, but at least he's from the same "pool" of singer to Axl in that they both have that rasp to their voice and you can kinda hear the similarities. Naturally, Axl would smash the shit out of this, but Myles does a great job.

@CuriosityRoads Wait, you're calling out people saying they know nothing about vocals? Ask ANY vocal trainer (I've personally asked mine) what they think of Axl's ability in singing. The result I got was a long laugh and something along the lines of "did you just call him a singer?". On the other hand, the comment I got about Myles (and it was the first time my teacher heard him, on "Summer Girl" by Mayfield Four), was pretty different.

He has a cool low voice on the studio albums, but live, his low voice sounds horrible. And you don't know shit about Myles Kennedy if you say that. Slash's seeing his talent, and so did Led Zeppelin... People who say Myles sucks are just people who can't accept Slash is playing old GNR tunes with another band and another singer.

they tried to take that live vibe to the studio, and imho, it just didn't translate well. all these tunes they recorded for this EP are phenomenal live. I saw them 3 times last year. Myles nails them all live, but there's just something lost in translation here. all around even. it's just missing energy that I'm sure they get from the live crowd. it's by no means a horrible performance by Myles, but it pales in comparison to him performing them live.
