Much respect to the men not holding out there phones to record the moment (and I know one man is most likely a photographer and has a camera, not a cellphone). These moments happen once in a lifetime. Looking through your phone screen, trying to keep focus and the best angles causes you to miss the real life, right in front of you, beautiful moments in life. I only tend to get a few images on camera and film while on vacation or at events. Life is short, look the whale in the eyes, admire the ocean, enjoy those around you. I promise it isn't the same through a cellphone screen.

I have had that happen to me in my boat on the way to Catalina island . I stopped about half way from marina del Rey. I was feeling a bit down had Louis Armstrong playing it’s a wonderful world. To this day I get goose bumps. I floated along side for about 30min. Whale came closer and closer until it just popped up and we just looked at each other. It still waters my eyes writing this. Amazing souls. Wow.

The whale popped up to let you know you aren’t alone…I feel like they can def sense a person and able to communicate with humans on a diff level than other animals can. They are such smart beautiful creatures..and was there to try to brighten your day🐋💙
