Everyone knows now surely how big Steve Hughes is in the stand up comedy scene? The amount of times I've tried to tell people he was part of a band from Australia who produced some of the heaviest thrash metal in existence in the early/mid 80's. They often don't seem interested haha.

@@jprp999 there are no blastbeats on Abominations. fast thrash beats played badly by Mike.... that's it. nothing close to what Repulsion, Carcass, Napalm, Slaughter Lord, Sadistik Exekution were doing. eternal fire This is early thrash metal with a death/black metal vibe going on, before those genres were really much of their own thing, and my comment was regarding that, more so than the actual proficiency of the musicianship.

@lewisleckliter50243 жыл бұрын
No people think they can branch out add outside influences, djs, clean vocals, horns... some bird other than a crow cawing...how many idiots ruin metal? How many people are in that band slipknot...that many... if c.o.c. can do it in 198whatever why impress your grandma's music teacher with some Bach melodies repeated more than most blues riffs... rant over.. nu metal, red flag... I like they play old school death metal.. and doesn't have hype of next new neon hair style sung by pre teenage asian school girls...how about truthful little girl screaming "dont fuck me" pedophile go die, sexual stalker murder elitist...
@paleminus2 жыл бұрын
That's arguable since there are really good modern bands if you know where to look, but the huge amount of samey shit bands with clean productions right now just connotes that today's metal is pure shit and uninspired.

Look at the weekly "hot lists of metal" or shiet like that.....plastic McDonald's metal everywhere these days lmao
@justsomedudeyouknow837210 ай бұрын
Nope. I agree. Most metal today is weak with no soul. But of course its gonna be. I mean, think about back then what the influences were for bands like this compared to now. Bands back then were creating metal. Bands today are just copying it while rarely adding anything innovative or interestingly new. Metal has been around long enough to be trendy. Rare that a metalhead gets his ass kicked for being a metal head these days. Back then it was fight to exist. Like most scenes.
