Thanks for doing this. And yes, we can enjoy the soundtrack. But like with many other films, I’m sure there were some cues and other music that didn’t make the album. It’s definitely a holy grail of film in my book. To see the original.

On the Spanish DVD release of this movie (all voices dubbed to Spanish), parts of the original James Brown soundtrack was intact. But strangely some parts still have the replacement music that is on all other home video releases. In 2020 I used the Spanish version as a reference to reinstate the James Brown soundtrack. When there was too much talking in Spanish on top of the music, I couldn't lift the audio track from the Spanish version. That is why some substitute music still remains. I added "Slaughter's Theme" to the end credits, which I believe was the original ending. (Both the Spanish and English audio tracks however has the same substitute music.) There are surprisingly long sequences without any background music in the film (could music be missing?), and there are a few places where substitute music is used even on the Spanish audio track!

You are the very first person that I ever heard of that knew that this Spanish version existed! 😮 It’s so much fun to hear witch part I got wrong and witch parts I nailed! 😃 Very weird that it is a mix between original tunes and replacements. So it’s not quite, but almost like a dream come true. 😃
