I've got a new theory I've been coming up with after digesting this album a little bit, and what it's about- since I'm not the band, take it for face value and obviously as a fan-derived idea. Here goes... Some of the lyrics are in English, but most of them are in Russian. I can't really make out what they are regardless, but my main theory is that it's a *Diologue between the Devil and Man* discussing the key points of humanity's failure as a species, and the Devil trying to convince Man that he deserves Hell where he has dwelt for-ever and all eternity. The basic idea is that Man speaks in English, but the Devil speaks in Russian- and since he does most of the talking, it bares the distinction that he is doing the convincing as well. I can't really back this up, but it's really the only thing I could think of when I thought of *Misery Sermon*, and how a priest must preach a sermon to his people of the church, talking about morality and hope. He convinces them of the greatness of G-d in reality, but in this case it's Alex (as the Devil) convincing mankind that their lack of motivation to put an end to hate, tyranny, and pollution can only cause more misery, and drown all possibility of hope. In closing, I think the only thing that could confirm this is either the band itself, or the fact that the music is less driven by the instrumentals, and more by the vocals and the message/details/imagery of the lyrics. Like I said, just a theory...

YESSS!! I have been on the hook for many bands to release new albums, such as Misery Sermon, Archspire's new album being in September, The Elysian Grandeval Galeriarch by Infant Annihalator, and the to-be-released album Dear Desolation by Thy art is murder. Everytime one gets released, I get psyched to the point where I lose my mind. This is, by far, one of my alltime favorites. The combinations of two different launguages in the same song, where as Chapters of Misery was all Russian. I really am exited for this bands future
