Just a preference for the heavier side of music has made nu-metal and alt metal sound like butt pop. Just doesn't have the impact that say Astarte can pull off and they were four women. I respect your taste though, they were impressive for softer metal I thought and I loved the basslines.

That is true. I like heavier metal, and it does make the stuff that i once called "heavy" sounds like lullaby's. But I actually began to like BB more once i got into heavier metal as sort of a foil to say, cannibal corpse. I'm guessing if he wanted to he *could* make his music heavier, but I think the sound they got going for them now is unique and if he ruins it i'm going to cry. The biggest reason i like them is the same reason i like P!ATD (Gasp, a pop-punk group!) because at first the lyrics are seemingly non-sense but after digging into the meaning it begins to make more sense, almost like a secret code that only fan's can detect. If only ben didn't sound like shit live.
