This is simply perfection...hypnotic job. I want to sell one of my kidneys to buy that blade

Keep your kidney in case one of them fails. You need it more than the knife.

I've been studying knives and weapons of all kinds for over 40 years . I'm a weapons expert and have been an Advanced Black Belt in several Martial Disciplines for over 30 years. I may be getting old but I learned and practiced my disciplines in the Martial Sciences during a time without the Internet so everything I learned had to be done the Old Fashioned way. By reading from actual books and coming home after a 12 hour day with many broken bones with bruises from head to toe. It was a much better time with actual contact amongst each other . I just wish I had the skill of a true craftsman such as yourself. I may have had great skill with the weapons at hand but I wish I had equal skill at personal manufacture of these tools. Once again I am in awe of your skill Sir. Thank you for the lesson.

Hello this is one of the most beautiful knives I have seen, I know that the one in the video was sold but could you tell me how much it would cost to have you make one with sheath for me ?
@SLAVIKTELY7 жыл бұрын
This one was sold for one thousand dollars.
@Swenglish.Gaming7 жыл бұрын
In my opinion that is very underpriced for such a beautiful piece. I know it was stock removal but it makes my top three list for nicest blades, especially that handle work. Good job keep up the good work.
@SLAVIKTELY7 жыл бұрын
Swenglish, I absolutely agree with you. I only profited around $400 from it. Just the leather sheath cost me $250 and 4 hours of driving to and from the leather guy.
@Swenglish.Gaming7 жыл бұрын
Wow, that is some dedication. I admire your work especially with such little in the way of profit. I am a huge fan of your craft and recently started doing a bit of stock removal as a hobby myself. Being the first channel I watched centered around bladesmithing, I consider you to be my main inspiration for starting it and I greatly appreciate your work.

No problem man. I know it sold, so that was an exaggeration lol but all your knives are wicked and I don't know how you would put a price on it without shorting yourself. I know some Bob Kramer blades are like $5 - 10K, although he makes his own ingots, how do you roughly come up with a price?

Lol I’m rewatching this video three years later and ig something that I missed last time is the way that you filed into the handle a little extra and the left side for your index finger. It’s a simple thing but it really can improve the grip of the knife and how comfortable it is. I love your videos and I love the patience you have to take the time and go the extra mile on all your projects. Beautiful!

BRAVO SIR! BRAVO! I comment verry rarely on a youtube video, last time being over a month ago also on one of your videos. By the time it took you to upload another knife making one I knew it will be great but you exceded my expectations yet again. The fact that you show all the processes, the attention to detail, the preparations you take, materials you use, even the way that you clean your mess makes you videos informative, show your high skill really good, the passion for what you do and also makes your videos suprisingly educative. Please never lower the quality of your makings and videos. I hank you yet again, best wishes !

Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I can't help but feel like it needs a steel pommel though. Kukris are of course supposed to be blade heavy but with how much steel you removed from the "tang" I think a steel pommel would have balanced it out a bit better. Fantastic work and I love watching you work.

Okay, where do I start, I love khukuris and thought that a tanto version though maybe gimmicky, the build process, style, video editting, all of it is simply a joy to watch. I really love almost everything about it, I have only one gripe that I think a 50 degree edge is fine for the chopping part of the blade, traditionally parangs and khukuris had sharper base edges for carving and sharper tips for skinning, so I think you should have dropped those edges to 34 degrees. But I mean that handle, and I hate plastics of all sorts btw looks amazing and the pins simply beautiful. I look forward to browsing your others.
@SLAVIKTELY2 жыл бұрын
The handle is made from wood.
@Traderjoe8 жыл бұрын
Its great to see something like this made, and even better to see it used! I have seen some makers who make basically art knives, but you actually chopped with it, which is great and what the tool really is intended for. Great job!
@SLAVIKTELY8 жыл бұрын
Trust me, I had to clean it up again and hand sand it back to remove the scratches. Kind of sucks to redo the sanding part again because it is very difficult to sand it when the handles are on.
