I’d love to see you play this again, explore some of the other routes the game has to offer. Your playthrough was really interesting in that you are one of the few players I’ve watched that actually agreed with the narrator. There are no wrong choices of course, but there are also other routes in the game that explore the flaws in the narrators ideology. Anyways, great video!

The Narrator didn’t lie to you about her being the Death itself BUT he also said she isn’t just this concept. She isn’t primarily death, she is the Transformation. No one will die after her defeat but also nothing will change forever. It will be just a static world without any meaning. Though, the Narrater literally put a piece of her into the Long Quiet, so some form of change will perhaps continue. Still, can you imagine living forever? Living for hundreds, thousands, millions of years? Living when you’re constantly suffering? That can be bad. Death is a horrifying thing but it exists for a reason. Also existing alone for eternity would fucking suck.

You took one look at the premise of the game, shook your head, said "nope!" and forged on ahead with making a choice the world literally couldn't account for. But the underlying _why_ to your Contrarian actions goes unread. Were you doing it for kicks, for the sake of playing with the game and getting played back, or was there something deeper at stake? Were you _that_ opposed to the moral dilemma The Narrator threw at you, that you chose to simply not engage with it? Were you so guided by your desire to do right, no matter the consequences, that you walked blindly off the path? Was this borne out of an innate refusal to harm life, no matter the stakes, or did you just dislike the Narrator? If so, _what_ made you dislike Him? How he dodged your questions? His vague answers to your questions? His slimy attitude? The way He tried to tell _you_ what to do? Did you desire to assert yourself in an empty world? Is your personal freedom and right to choose that important to you? Did you think your actions would have consequences? I think, no matter your reasoning, your choices do reflect you to a degree. You denied The Narrator's given premise and _chose,_ and stuck to that choice above all else, to not engage with violence. You stuck with that choice even when it seemed like it'd, eventually, be overridden. You are stalwart in your conviction, whatever it may be. You will not let others decide what is and what is not allowed. If they dare to try, you'll needle your way through their resolve and enjoy yourself all the while your "sponsors" are undone by annoyance and the world falls apart around you. *_Your choices matter._*_ (As the Stranger route responds: And their consequences matter, too.)_

Interesting. Is that only because of the options you're presented, or has the Moment of Clarity truly affected you to such a degree? _"This one is a waiting maw. Did you hear Her thoughts on this vessel?… _Cya around._ *Fourth Movement. One more to go.* 1:08:35 I think Quin is the first person I've seen to be more scared of the Long Quiet & Entity within it than the Chapters & Princesses. Most take this as a sort of reprieve, you know. Not to say this perspective is _wrong,_ if I look through your eyes I can identity everything unsettling about this place. But in comparison to everything else, it just seems so nice. A siren's song in the void. No one stabs you here. No one shuts down your organs here. No one crushes your bones here. _God._ No wonder you're so scared of Her. _I promise there are nicer options. Nicer stories._ No interest in Her thoughts on this vessel, again. Saddening. I believe he returned, then took another week for this upload is because _Slay the Princess_ is a beast of a game. I think he was the _opposite_ of burnt out while making this video. Somehow (big stress on that "somehow"), he found the Fabric Of Reality As We Know It and ripped it in half. Among Everything, this includes: the Cycle of Life & Death, the Duplicity Of Yin & Yang, Creation & Destruction. After ~somehow~ ripping reality in half and splitting it into two roughly divided gods, the Narrator passed away by his own will and became an "Echo." Theory crafting says an Echo is _like_ a ghost that can't substantially change; He has one perogative: get the Long Quiet (Hero/Slayer/Decider) to Slay the Princess (Shifting Mound). The Shifting Mound is the abstract concept of change. Literally. She is the godly personification of a _concept,_ an observation of how the world naturally works. Her nature makes it so She is what you think She is; this is why the Princess, her aspect/vessel, shifts so widely depending on your actions and thoughts. If you think She can take you in a fight, She will. If you think She won't have time to react, She won't. If you think She's a defenseless Damsel in distress, She will be. If you think She loves you and only wants to make you happy, She WILL - and if you try to Deconstruct that persona, perceive it as fake and flat and cardboard… She will be. Among many things, she contains Destruction _(which is a misconception; "to destroy is merely to reshape." It's a fundamental law of the universe that nothing can be truly destroyed, only Changed - that's not philosophy, that's science. But if you apply that thinking to a person, they may not agree that Death is only transformation. That's why the Shifting Mound is Death, but also not, but also absolutely, yes)._ She also contains any other concept that requires Change: growth, birth, healing. The Long Quiet is the antithesis to the Shifting Mound. Since The Narrator allegedly hand-crafted this god, we don't have an _exact_ answer on Their nature. If They are merely the other half of Reality: They are the personification of the abstract concept of stagnation. The opposite, or rival, or counterpart, to change. This may include: cycles, repetition, emptiness, etc. This is way more abstract than the Shifting Mound. If you don't understand Her, understanding TLQ is hopeless; They are what She is not. … As far as "The Construct" goes: it is made of You. The Long Quiet, the place, is the true form & "body" of the Nothing TLQ represents: the textured nothingness, the background. Once you "wake up" after shattering the Mirror, you accept that the bird-like body your consciousness inhabited was _not_ you. _(My theory is that The Narrator, a confirmed bird-man, just imprinted His body & Echo onto TLQ the way you would stamp a piece of paper. Then, as the story goes on, that "stamp" gradually fades away, and you're left with just the whole paper again.)_ You can take this literally or metaphorically, but as far as the text of Slay the Princess reads, these three are the major players of the story: a mortal and two gods, and the mortal's attempt to change the way Reality functions. _Does this make sense?_

U didnt see most of the lovly side of the chapters(didnt chat with no knife / didnt complete damsel or happly ever after/ didnt even see thorns) and didnt understand the princess (she is %100 right) always seeking to find the evil but in this game no one was evil, u just want to believe princess is evil for justify ur actions. I wish u try to undercover some other ways. What can i say, its was your play, well at least u didnt get THE worst ending.

I actually noticed that while I was editing, I went into each interaction after the first thinking she was a monster and I do regret that in hindsight, I played through it again just now because I wanted to see it from her perspective more. And it’s a completely different game, I also got the thorn ending you were taking about and it made me cry lol There will be another video about all that soon!

The only Bad Ending to _Slay The Princess,_ I'd say, is the ending you get for outright Slaying The Princess in the first Chapter 1 of your playthrough and just agreeing totally with the Narrator. The game ends early with a joke ending when you do that. _(It also shows why the Narrator isn't… exactly… trustworthy?… You never saw what happens when you Slay the Princess, not really, because you always doubted your ability. And you never got that "reward" you asked about at the beginning.)_

I like the path you've chosen here. If put into the body of a god, The Long Quiet, you choose to be guided by your compassion for mortals. You do not wish suffering onto others, and reject the perspective that such suffering is outright necessary. You want everyone to be happy. The Shifting Mound rejected your perspective, that Death and Loss and Grief are natural and therefore immovable aspects of the universe at large, so you killed Her. You made a world void of suffering, pain, and bloodshed. And your Voices are okay. I think this is a good ending. _(But I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more from you on this. @@QuinBoBin Likewise, glad you're enjoying the game! I was a bit surprised to see you get the Tower first (on my original playthrough I got that by fighting and then giving up). They recently added three new routes and expanded three routes that ended a bit abruptly with the Fury being one of them, so you picked a great time to try the game out. I won't spoil too much but I definitely recommend checking out the Thorn and Happily Ever After routes.
