I play daily every day and I really think he's cheating. His score if often not possible unless you perfect every elite and boss in the run for that bonus score. He also often play the daily 1-2 hours after the daily start too

It's pretty easy to calculate the maximum possible score on 1 path daily (or just any daily). You don't get better score by playing better. You get high score by doing bonus objectives and most of them are not possible to pull off in certain daily. Just doing some quick math here: Doing all floors: 255p; Mystery Machine: 25p; Encounters: ~50p; Elite: 20 + 40 + 60; Boss: 150. overall 650 for getting the 'perfect path' and finish under 45m (+50p) Other easy to get point bonus: Collector (easy to get in certain daily, not optimal otherwise) - Alternatively, Highlander (on duplicated card) is 100p easily: ~50-100p; Librarian/Encyclopedian 25/50p (hard to get without being an easy daily, possible to get 25p most of the time); Cursed! is 100 point, risky and not possible in most daily, or without already playing the daily on another acc; Pauper (no rare card in deck) 50p - rather easy bonus; Money Money (1000+ gold) 25p, not much but easy to get. This results in about 300p for the tryhard. So the ideal score would be around 950 for a normal run. So other bonus score would come from special condition (get more max HP, deal 99 damage, play 20 cards in a turn, have 25+ relics, more gold, more cards - giving roundly 25-50 extra points per run. Not much. The biggest score gain would be the 'kill Elite/Boss without taking damage' giving 25p per Elite, or 50p per Boss which could potentially give 350p bonus - this push the score to ~1300 level. You might be able to get a little higher by achieving pretty much every possible score bonus in game and hit

He completely undervalues upgrading all strikes and defends, which is especially bad because he doesn't thin his deck of them too well all that often, which possibly explains why he doesn't understand the cost of removing cards at the shop and the relic relating to it.

I know, right? The fact that he thinks it'd only save you 25-50 gold doesn't even surprise me anymore. I use card removal every single time it's offered. Considering that the cost goes up every use, it could easily save me 300 gold or more. He still thinks a 25 card deck is very thin. 😅

Simplicity literally would've saved him an extra turn at least, and if he'd gone after Donu first (like you *always* should) that'd have been another turn. Might've been able to pull it out. Especially if he'd taken Philosopher's Stone instead of Cursed Bell, although to be fair he had no way of knowing that the bell would give him two Normalities.

Why does he always kill Deca first? One blocks for 16 and the other gives 3 strength per turn. Pretty obvious to see which one is more dangerous. I honestly think it's because they switched Donu and Deca's position. He was attacking Donu first for a while, but ever since their positions got switched he's been attacking Deca first.

I...don't know what I expected. NL never takes the true path (poison + sadistic nature in this case). It is always the add "good" card deck. This is why I don't want it to always be dailies. The dailies don't encourage better play from him. NL, if you're seeing this comment, please occasionally do an ascension run. It doesn't have to be all the time, just every now and then.
