playing reinforce body twice with echoform gives you the same amount of block for each. So 3x energy twice. Next time you run into that situation. You had plenty of block for 3rd turn champion fight.

He said "you get one block" because it exhausts, so you only get to use it once. And you block 30 damage.

NL, you're getting complacent again. Try to diversify your runs or you won't be able to adjust when RNG forces you into an archetype you don't know how to play. Also, some Ironclad runs might be nice at some point. I think everyone's forgotten he exists.

He is not aware of the existance of other archetypes, though. Everything except for the one main archetype he is focusing on is "garbage cards that nobody would ever use". He probably hasn't even read what most of those cards he doesn't use do, let alone tried them, and he won't for another hundred episodes.

Apparently, a switch has flipped in his brain and now all powers apart from self-repair and echo form are bad and the only way he can win is with all for one and zero cost cards. Its frustrating to see his all or nothing mindset in this game and his total disregard for cards and playstyles he's never tried

To be honest, your adherence to one single type of run in these videos is frustrating. In both Dead Cells and Slay the Spire, you do the same archetypes over and over again with essentially the same commentary and just hope it works, all while assuming that the items and cards you haven't ever actually tried to use are complete garbage. If you experimented more or listened to other players or commenters, it would be much more enjoyable in my opinion. I still love your streams and content, but I wish you would slow down and try to give each run in these games at least a slight bit of experimental consideration like you do in Wizard of Legend.

I can't stand watching him build the same run every time around a card he doesn't even have and may never get. There are several other archetypes Defect has and he never even entertains the idea of playing it that way.

HitchensImmortal E X A C T L Y ! ! ! He succeeds once with one build and assumes that everything else outside of it is bad despite everyone else playing with various decks. It's the same with Dead Cells. Anything that isn't purple is bad. It's like he doesn't even consider the fact that the games have options for a reason.

After 183 episodes I would think Runic dome would be the choice on the 1st boss, but that's just me. I've become so familiar with enemy patterns I always have a good idea what they are going to do.

Its good for the ironclad where you just do enough damage to 1 shot each enemy with the extra energy but i feel the defect isnt that strong so you gotta see whats coming to get the most out of each turn

I find it interesting how NLs audience game to game is very different. That being said the Slay the Spire audience is really harsh and up tight.

I don't even play the game that much and I still get triggered by his blatant misplays and absolute blindness to anything that's happening. Oh and he's got that "man this is bad" thing going on for things that clearly aren't bad, but that he's just too stupid/lazy to understand and sometimes it just seems like he tries to rush for the finish line.
