Even though you roll over block, it still made more sense to not play the blocks and save the energy. You still lose out on 15 block each turn, where it cost you nothing to save the energy and get the full value of the block on the turn that you need it.

Adriaan Boot Man this was triggering me hard. it's 10% per card. play everything that's not an attack, then single hit attacks, then the multihit. I feel like he could've killed the head at least a turn or two faster if he slowed down and thought about it more

Honestly this deck looks cool and on the edge of being great. NL was playing better, though not great (but compared to the ironclad he is miles better). I feel if you could have got noxious fumes, you could have won.

Hey, NL (plz read this comment) 1) Stop discard Expertise+. This card is OPAF 2) While fighting head, do your dmg as late as possible. Buffs, blocks and THEN - dmg (more dmg card deals - later u play it) Head is getting more dmg for every CARD u play, not attack. 3) Why the F u play ever Defend over deflect? 0 nrg 6 block > >1 nrg 5 block.

He makes the third floor so much harder than it has to be. He has no strategy for fighting the slimes or the thorny bois. It's crazy. Even in this video when he fought the thorny/explody bois he immediately deals 20 damage to himself.

Prepared is an awful noobtrap too, and the thing that gets me is he passes on acrobatics everytime. He doesn't realize his deck is literally better without prepared.

Yeah, acrobatics is pretty damn good. +1 card advantage and 1 discard which in some decks is a needed mechanic, and against some bosses it gets rid of burns and curses. Spending the 1 mana on it is hard sometimes, but it's still cheap.

NL overvalues dagger spray like crazy but it seems like a lot of the people in the comments super underestimate it. Once upgraded it's a one energy card that does 12 damage, hits all enemies, and synergizes with strength and envenom. It's not like Cleave where it really doesn't have anything to offer except crowd control, Dagger Spray is actually a great card... just not as great as NL thinks it is.

Yes? But it's also arguably better than Riddle WIth Holes, which is a great card. 2x Dagger Spray = 16 damage, 4 hits, AoE - 1x Riddle With Holes = 15 damage, 4 hits, Single Target. Now, it's simplistic to argue that makes it better, because you need to draw one card to make one of those happen and two to make the other one happen, but assuming you have a well-managed dark where all cards offer good value that makes it at least as good in most situations. The main situation where Dagger Spray is worse is in encounters with thorny bois mixed in, where it becomes basically unusable.

It's almost inconceivable to me that he has over 100 hours into this game considering he doesn't understand or recognize half the cards, abilities, mechanics, or enemies. There is a mistake almost every 10-15 seconds. Although it's absolutely torturous to watch these, I still manage to enjoy it.
