I would argue that both decks are degenerate because they lock off popular cards in Yugioh. Really, all decks made by Konami are either "so op" or "degenerate" nowadays, because the only reason they see play is because they stop the other person's play. The Malefics obviously try to make it so decks filled with low attack monsters suck, and the new field spell makes it so they're an even harder soft lock. The Heavyweight Samurai lock off Mirror Force and Black Sonic and they stop all battle damage (except from high-attack piercers). Plus, they have their own permanent and irreversible Megamorph. Also, all downsides of cards like Forbidden Lance/Dress are null and void.

Raymoclaus I've been experimenting with these. There's a lot of ways you can play them. Two things that this deck hates: Deck Devastation Virus, and not drawing good. This deck doesn't have a very good draw engine to it yet so it can't really get up to speed, so you have to play a grind game from what I've gathered

I'm testing a Heavyweight Samurai deck, and I have to say, Kyukyukyu is one of the best Beelze counters I've ever seen. It makes Beelze a 0 attack monster that can't be destroyed. Just keep attacking over it, because it doesn't gain attack.

With these Heavyweight Samurais being a thing now it's actually a viable option to run freaking Unity in a deck. Also, "Spike shield with chain" wrecks some shit in there aswell.

Of course it is, though you only have 3 available. I've been playing around with 3 D2s, 2 Spike Shields and 2 Unity. Had a blast so far, especially when the opponent thinks I'm done for because my Ben--K died and I only have a bunch of "weak" defense position monsters left. Nothing blows people more out of the water than a sudden increase in DEf of around 8000.

Make a Malefic Skill Drain deck with the newer Level 10 Machines. -One is a 3k/3k beater you can normal summon; it's attack becomes 0 usually. -One SS's itself from the hand on a direct attack (2500/3k), then blows up all of your S/T (Skill Drain stops that part). -Malefic Cyber End is obvious. -Metal Reflect Slime cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects, either. -There's a level 4 with 1800 that searches out level 10 machines when it's sent to graveyard by any means (Ruffian Railcar). -There's a spell card that specifically summons level 10 machines, and if its destroyed and sent to the grave, you can add one from your grave to your hand. Skill Drain is good to have, as Tiaramasu would run circles around this deck otherwise.

Ice Hand selects a target for destruction while it's in the graveyard, but because it special summons you can chain solemn to it after it has selected a target.

Solemn Warning will negate any card effect that includes special summoning. It doesn't matter how it resolves. If it says you can special, warning says no.

I've been playing my Heavyweight Samurai with Shooting Star Bow - Ceal and Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce. Sure you lose ATK (which doesn't matter to this deck), but you get to attack twice and attack directly

When a monster would be Summoned, OR when a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect is activated that includes an effect that Special Summons a monster(s)! Ice hand's effect includes the effect that Special Summons Fire Hand. Therefor he is able to chain it on Ice Hand's activation and negate teh effect.

You really shouldn't activate field barrier unless you also have skilldrain because your opponent could use effects of monsters like Caius or Castel to get the fieldspell off the field without destroying it after which fieldbarrier would prevent you from activating a new fieldspell, making you loose the game if you play malefics.

Hey azneyes. Have you considered using Rainbow Dark Dragon instead of Rainbow Dragon/ Malefic Rainbow Dragon? Unlike MRBD, Rainbow Dark Dragon can be summoned while Malefic Cyber End is on the field, and unlike Rainbow Dragon, you might actually be able to summon it, depending on how many Darks you have. And it's still a level 10 with 4000 attack.

Skill Drain doesnt negate the effect "There can only be 1 face-up "Malefic" monster on the field. If you have one on the field then you still cannot Special Summon a second since its effect is still active while it is in the hand. so youre gonna have to find a work around.

AznEyes, the effect of ice hand is target, destroy, then special summon meaning that destroy is an essential appositive making it target, then special summon and destroy that target at the time of special summon

ice and fire hand do need to destroy to special but thew special and destroy are 1 effect and that is why u can solemn it, if it were reprinted in the future it would have the 1 and 2 on it so you understand that it is 1 effect that has an order of witch it must be applied and that is why it must destroy because if part of the eff does not go through then the rest of the effect fizzles as well.

all the "There can only be one" monsters cannot be summoned while a skill drained one is on the field because the hand ones still have the effect, also, if you flip the skill drained one facedown, you have to force it to flip face up or have your opponent attack it if you play another while Skill Drain is out since it still has the effect while facedown

The Hands destroy first and then SS all during the resolution of their effects. Warning is able to negate any card that involves summoning even if it's optional at resolution like Starlight Road.

Azneyes you just fought a very potentially painful deck, once it can attack from DEF position there are so many support spells and traps. It can even bring back the card Unity and toss it in competetive!

I played against a version of this deck yesterday that used Machinas and that continuous spell of theirs (which can summon Ben-K if basically any Machina is destroyed). I barely pulled a win off in that fight, mostly because we both got bad hands and I recovered faster.

If I remember correctly, Warning can negate any card effect to special summon, even if you wouldn't actually get to special summon. Like if the effect includes special summoning something at all, you can negate it.
