@@moodman1151 i am a drummer. Metal music requires the most basic techniques to master and its the least musical genre according to any other instrumental genre. I know some specific metal bands making unusual things but they are exception. Exercising drumming without ghost notes and rudiments would be pretty boring and simple.

And of course you have to nail techniques its what a drummers job is. every musician nails many techniques but hardest parts of the drumming are feeling and having a fine touch on drums the things that metal doesnt have

This is only one of two covers I have seen of Angel of Death that were absolutely perfect. You even flipped your stick at the outset of the double bass roll.
