Amazing! In 85' we would have "killed a man" for this footage! When MTV Sucked the Big One! The Poppy "Hair Meta"l Bands were on display though, lol! We were in bands or Dead by the time "Headbanger's Ball" came out. I think after Grunge exploded, MTV went to The Real Metal?! What an amazing time listening to Slayer in the mid 80's. And when "Reign In Blood" was released, we were thoroughly Blown Away!!! Amazing footage!🤘🤘💜🙏

I saw them twice in ‘85. Once at the Reseda Country Club and the other at Hollywood Palladium with Venom and Exodus-still have my ticket stubs. Absolutely mind shattering and life changing for the 17 year old boy I was. The Country Club performance was as equally intense as this vid here. Everything right in your face-being pressed against the stage (minus the stage barrier) you could LITERALLY feel the wind whipping off their hair while they were hammering their guitars. Just phenomenal beyond words. Some of the top shows of my life.

They are the only band out of the big 4 that is worth watching live nowadays. Metallica has shitty setlists and James can't sing anymore. And anthrax suffers the same problem as Metallica Joey just can't sing anymore.
