You have to get this stuff in context to appreciate how incredibly brutal and extreme it was for its time...truly groundbreaking. It was understandably eclipsed by 'Reign in Blood', but 'Hell Awaits' was a fantastic album in its own right.

yeah, the riffs. totally unique , sometimes complex turnarounds and jigsaw changes, and sometimes the most simple but evil sounding worm-holes bugging the brain. 30 years later and I am still not sick of these guys. I appreciate their classic stuff more with time.

Don't go to the big shows. We still stage dive and pit as hard as ever. If youre ever in the area look up the oakland metro... Its always got good shows!
