Everyone has their opinion, and you are welcome to yours, but to me Slayer is the best, most kick ass band ever. Their music slams you with its brutality, and the intensity flowing from the stage just envelops you. At least for me it did. I've seen them close to 15 times, and will for sure see them should they ever resurrect. To me, the baddest motherfuckers in concert ever.

Look up lombardo playing disciple, he can barely even play that, can't see him playing half of divine interventions stuff, there's a reason when lombardo rejoined they had to cut almost every bostaph song, but when bostaph joined they didnt have to cut a single Lombardo song out, hell almost right after paul joined the band he played lombardos hardest song (silent scream) and aced it after playing multiple other songs, look it up, monsters of rock 1992 South Of Heaven/Silent Scream. Not to mention when he auditioned for the band he aced every song the first time except he missed one part on angel of death, and then immediately corrected it right after.

+David Quiros I remember when Diabolus In Musica came out. Everyone was bashing it, saying it was nu metal. And though, yes there were many ELEMENTS of nu metal on the album, however I think the Thrash elements stand out more than anything else. That & there are many awesome solos on this album. Korn don't play no solos, even when covering MetallicA !! Diabolus In Musica marked a change in direction for Slayer. And honestly, I prefer it over God Hates Us All or any of the newer albums. Lyrically & vocally, I think Slayer has been on the decline. Don't get me wrong, God Hates Us All was an awesome album. But there were a few songs on it that I found really shitty. That was the first time I had ever skipped a track or two on a Slayer album. Tis was a sad day.
